Does anybody know if there's a problem with the Megacoin network?, I have been waiting for a transaction to be confirmed for more tha 6 hours.

also according to this block explorer the last block was produced more than 10 hours ago?

http://mec.blockr.io/

Its because of all the mining pools jumping on megacoin..

The fix will be in the new core update...(KGW3)

You will get the transaction.

Right, btc38 agrees as well.  No significant sells under 0.14¥ at the moment.

I'd basically given up on Mega.. many pools weren't working. Any suggestions for a stable one..?

That would be lovely, preferably a North American pool, but any will do.

I believe Mega.minepool.net is still active, he just hasn't updated the block reward. Still waiting for Cryptopia to resolve whatever problem has been going on for months. The problem has been profitability of most coins, but I suspect that is about to change, and this is why we are seeing upward stability in Bitcoin.

The only thing missing to make this just like 2013 is the big rally.  Grin

I've been predicting a financial meltdown for a long time, and it looks like it's here. The DOW lost almost 400 points again, and the Nikkei just opened down almost 700 points.
Crypto should rally hard. It's time to buy and hold.

That is a massive buy order!

China's stock market, and economy are in meltdown mode. Crypto is the new financial insurance.

The dead cat bounce in the markets yesterday was a buzz kill for Crypto. The meltdown has resumed, and I think we will see new highs in the Crypto markets soon.

I think this news will only have a short term effect, and is a miracle for Bitcoin investors considering recent market action.

At this point in time I do agree with you 100% on the world markets topic.  A mega economic ass kicking is in progress right now, directly resulting from items mentioned in your previous posts.

Walmart is closing stores.  If that doesn't get somebody's attention, I don't know what will.

Crypto makes sense.  Just a quick public service announcement, be careful and pay attention to BitcoinJ's recent departure from bitcoin.  If a lead developer calls out centralized mining as a huge problem, that will have cascading effects obviously.  Choosing the right type of crypto is key.

One thing that will make you feel better about that move, Chinese use MEC (and others) to get large amounts of money into and out of btc38.  When it comes time to transact, they don't care if they're buying/selling at 4500 or 9000.  A standing sell order on btc38 would be sufficient, if you're concerned about the 'investment amount' in question.

For example, say you bought 100,000 MEC at 4500.  Place a standing sell order on btc38 (or bittrex) for 50,000 MEC at 9000.  When it sells, you're now 50,000 MEC ahead at a cost of nearly 0.   Smiley

We will look back at these prices as amazing bargains very soon. Crypto currency is the future...
