Hi peeps, Quick simple question, can someone recommend me a good 6 slot mining motherboard? Preferably socket 1150 or 1151? Also would be nice to know if someone here has managed to get 6 GPU's up and running on this particular board that they are using and a board that is also good value for money.. Reason I am asking is that I've had a few issues with my ASRock BTC PRO REV 2 and for some damn reason I cant get more than 2 GPU's working at one time.. I've tried everything under the sun but just cant seem to figure out what the problem is, anyway its just come to a point where I am going to swap out my hardware for something else and would appreciate some good recommendations. Thanks

All of my rigs rocks ASUS motherboards with Z270 chipset and LGA 1511 socket. ASUS Z270 Prime P is the way to go. Economical and can easily support up to 8 GPUs.

I use : - Asus z270-p (6 PCIE, you can add 1 more GPU in m2 slot with a cheap adapter) - Asrock H110 pro btc (13 GPUs, very easy to config)

ASUS B250 Mining Expert in case you will want to increase your cards with the passing of time. For the moment is one of the best motherboards which up to 19 cards and has space for you to install 3 PSU-s to it. It should handle 6 cards without any problem at all.
If you don't intend to increase your cards get one ASROCK H81 PRO BTC or Rev 2.0 and it is one of the best boards which is specific for mining up to 6 cards.

What about the Gigabyte h110-d3a ?
A lot cheaper than the Asrock and it looks like it was made for mining aswell. Don't see many miners using it though.

I took the Gigabyte Z270P-D3 when it was on sale, about 65$, tested with 6 GPU without any issues. Maybe can handle 7 GPU using the m2 connector, didn't test.

Oh I see Gigabyte has also made a mining motherboard like the Asrock and Biostar and I must say the Gigabyte brand is perfect (having my own Z97 Gaming 3 running 5 Gpu-s in a gen 4 motherboard without problems) and is better than Asrock and Biostar. One thing I disagree is the H110 chipset, is the lowest chipset of gen6/7 motherboards but if Gigabyte says it is perfect for mining then it is. For me is my top brand together with MSI.

We are using mostly Biostar TB350, TB85, and TB250 motherboardsin my wife's 13 rig farm. The nice thing is that they are all designed specifically to mine with 6 GPUs and are basically plug and play.

TB250 motherboard Came to ask about this. They're beautifully inexpensive right now; are they working well? What GPU(s) do you have in it?

Well, actually it's a little difficult to find the right motherboard for mining. It's hard to choose in the market and most of the it's very expensive. But you can try the ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ motherboard boasts 13 PCIe slots and is aimed at cryptocurrency miners. With support for up to 13 graphics cards, the H110 Pro BTC+ is the perfect motherboard for systems built to mine cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Ethereum, LiteCoin, and ZCash. The motherboard uses the LGA 1151 socket which supports Intel 6th-gen and 7th-gen processors, and includes an M.2 slot for SSD storage.

Everything from 6x Rx 470s to 6x GTX 1080 Ti GPUs. With most of the Nvidia rigs being a mixture of GTX 10xx series GPUs.

I will put another vote for ASUS B250 Mining Expert. The BIOS is already set up to be optimize for mining and can support up to 19 cards if you ever want to expand in the future. I started with 2 GPUs but then quickly expanded to 4 and am planning the move to 6 very soon. Its becomes addicting and having the ability to just add cards and plug in additional PSUs directly (it supports 3 directly to the board). I installed mine with no issues and so far have nothing but great things to say about it. Hopefully that remains the case when I plug in my second PSU in a few weeks.

I recommend Asrock H110 pro btc too, more PCIE slots... So that you are free to expand to more GPU if you needed in future, and yet it is cheap.

Board it a bit overkill unless you want to go with a LOT of cards in one rig, but it does work well and the built-in multi power supply management is nice - and the cost of the board isn't all THAT much higher than "lesser" 6/12/13 card mining boards - and gets QUITE competative when you compare it to an 1150 based board like the H81 Rev2 that has a fairly short list of available CPUS generally with higher prices due to supply shortages....
