I have 2 out of my 4 BFL Jalapenos throwing out a significantly higher rate of HW errors in cgminer. Anyone know if this is fixable or if I should send it back for a replacement? Is every HW error also counted as a possibly lost share? Screenshot of cgimner:

Give this a try power them down totally, then let them cool right down, maybe even bag and place in the freezer for a while, then power back up watch the HW errors go away.

Or he could sell me the two lower ones and "watch the HW errors go away".

Reduce the chip speeds if you know how to by a few mh/s on each and keep reducing down until you find a sweet spot with no hw errors. if cant then wait for their updates and new software.

Or you can donate them to me. Tongue

Interestingly the one hashing the highest >8Gh/s is throwing a 50% error rate. And the 2nd highest at 7.7Gh/s almost there as well. Whereas the two others going at 7.3Gh/s only have 18 and 33 errors out of 4000 shares Accepted respectively. Doesn't seem to be affecting the shares per minute rate enough to matter. It is just strange that two are producing almost none and the two others are producing over 100x that.

Binned chips + Ninja Lady assembler = this thread.

Check the FCC tag on the bottom and see what they're rated at.

I'm curious as to how long the queue position for replacements is.

It doesn't seem to be an issue considering my hashrate has been consistent. Its just funny seeing 2 throwing <1% HW error rate and the other 2 throwing 50-60% HW error rates. Just wondering if it was going to be an issue, and so far, it has not.

I had this same problem with FPGA's being to close together.  When I gave them more space the HW errors went away.
