Title says it all. The website looks legit. Says it is out of Netherlands. Have several products available. cheap flat rate shipping. I could get my s9 in December batch instead of paying another $600 on BITMAIN and waiting until January batch.

I'll buy two from them instead of 1 from BITMAIN direct if I can vet this website, plus my brother is looking at getting 10 of them.

Big Q is how do I tell if it is a big convoluted scam website or if I will actually get a new antminer s9 in the december batch for $999?
Anyone used them before?? or know how to check them out?

If they are selling a brand new miner FAR under cost that should be giant red flag to start. You should never buy a miner from one of these random websites, bitmain is the only safe place to get them.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Well they have it listed at 1,249 Euro, so their conversion rate is wrong. But even at that price, it's only about $50 over what Bitmain sold it to them for. Plus they had to pay shipping and VAT. I would say it's a scam.

I agree.
one compelling thing is this
yesterday they showed 7 power supplies available.
I almost ordered, but you know why i didnt.
This morning they only showed 1 and now they show none available.
Why would they reduce their inventory (its not advertised, its when I go to the cart like im going to checkout) to limit their ability to con me out of money for power supplies (or other products) if they are not going to send the products anyways?
I still hope for someone(s) to tell me of experience with them bad or good. I dont know of a better verification than that??

The address they have on their site is for WTC Amsterdam. Seems like a red flag to me.

I did a quick search through scam advisor and this got a high risk 0% trust rating. This with all the other red flags should be enough to make you wait.

I get it, you want to mine, its hard to wait, and even harder to shell out cash and with 6 weeks for a ship date, but its better than losing that cash.

Scammers are getting very clever, especially because it is so simple to create a quick webpage with inventory controls, especially when there is no real inventory, it gives them an air of legitimacy.

Please hold on to your cash, and buy from legitimate retailers, bitmain, Minerwarez, Blockforge, or Ebang. These are direct  for antminer, avalon, and ebit's.

I think there are a couple of legitimate resellers, but the prices are high. I put Blockforge on the list because they are Canaans newest authorized distributor, they also sell Bitmain equipment as a reseller.

Do your research and good luck

Thank you!
I ordered an s9 from bitmain.

New question:
Ive been looking at baikals giant x10 and finally went to order one from baikal direct in russia but they just sold out.

https://altmininggear.com/ is based in Illinios. it seems legit. but the price seems too low $1300  ($1400 from baikal) I sent them an inquiry.
They also dont seem to charge anything for shipping which is odd.
Anyone used the website???
they are trying to get $2700 for an antminer L3 and $1800 for a D3, but im interested in the baikal giant x10's
Help?

Just saw these guys too.   As someone that HAS been scammed this site is triggering red flags for me.

After reviewing the results here:
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/altmininggear.com

Then looking at Whois info

These guys opened shop 2 mothers ago and updated their information 3 days ago.  Red Flag
I can only assume their update was to enable the WhoisGuard Protection (RedFlag) so we can't get their personal contact information.
Since the first link show the site hosted in the UK that seems very strange for a US company to host in the UK.  Not completely out of the question but there that puts them outside US laws.   Red Flag.

So there are 3 red flags and as they say in Baseball 3 strikes and your out. Smiley

Best wishes.

It is a SCAM, sadly I got taken on a miner purchase. Wishing I came across this forum earlier. They have a return address in their refund policy and the address does not exist according to google maps. As well countless emails after purchase with no replies. They’ve got a countdown clock on the website stating prices will rise come 12/31 defined attempt to get Leary buyers to bite the bullet a make a purchase. Don’t wanna see another unsuspecting potential customer get taken as i did. STAY AWAY FROM altmininggear.com **SCAM SITE**
