If you are going on short trading or short profit taking then you are quite bit late since the price do already risen up.We should not always put into our minds or having the mentality on where we do only invest when we do already see the coins are booming up once again.You did actually missed the right opportunity on making money but if you go for long term then it is just fine. I think you need to learn more about investment. Always choose the best trading site and try to avoid suspicious exchange links because it might lead to unnecessary loss. I dont see any reason for us to reach that kind of profitability unless of you do able to hit up alts with 10-20x price increase probability but it seems these days it had to seek out that kind of coins in the market but well diversifying would always be a good idea when we do talk about investment and every person should considerate always on bitcoin or having a big allocation when it comes to overall funds invested.

Well, bitcoin is not on a good shape right now. Most of the crypto currencies right now has a red mark value. You can see it now on this site https://coinmarketcap.com/. That's why, I'm against about the x50 mind measurement of bitcoin price after 2-3 years. His prediction is too far from the reality, but everything is possible. Who knows the future?

Both are good choices but the demand right now is to build own miners or buy mining hardware how much honestly your budget for investment. and  maybe you can afford to buy your own mining rigs or bitcoin mining tools.
But if you are just wanted to hold and sell both altcoin and bitcoin could be  good choice but the price of bitcoin is really high today and  we don't know if the price will continue to increase but if you can hold it for a long time expect that you can make profit in the future.. in altcoin you need to choose good altcoin to make profit mostly top 20 in coinmarketcap are good altcoin to hold and sell that can gives you good profit..  so it will depends in you how you can scaling your investment to make a big profit in the future..

Probably BTC, for some reasons, BTC is used worldwide, but only "under the table". While the worth is still low, try investing it first before cashing everything out. If the worth of BTC gains it peak, that is the right time to cash it out. Try putting some business in other countries. Like Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, China and more. Or try buying some shares in different companies, with that you wouldn't needing of leaving your couch, You just need some company phone to contact about your investment.

I think the price of Bitcoin and the likes will plateau out like gold. What's holding the price is probably because the miners need a reasonable margin to make a profit from all the investment they put in (hardware, electricity costs etc.).  Once it's becoming too hard to earn from mining and its perceive value moderates out, the price will stabilize, though i doubt it will be in the high zone.

Actually, cryptocurrency can provide benefits in the long term or in the short term. I say like this, because I see the movement price of cryptocurrency per year. Someone will benefit long term if he has patience, as you said before. This method does require high patience, it takes money it really can be on the move just like that.
