Transactions Timing Out

When I attempt to broadcast an offline transaction, I get the error message:

The transaction that you just attempted to broadcast has timed out. The RPC interface of your node is disabled, therefore Armory cannot use it to gather more information about the timeout. It is recommended that you enable RPC and try again.

I broadcast some offline transactions earlier today which worked fine, and haven't changed anything - any ideas why this is now happening?

Core 0.15.1
Ubuntu 16.04

Is it safe to broadcast the signed raw transactions using a blockexplorer in the meantime? I'd like to send some payments before getting this issue resolved, if possible.

You need to update to 0.96.4 RC1 to be able to use Core 0.15.1. You can broadcast manually, that doesn't matter in the long term.
