Well it certainly can be lower I will make a deal for 10k in two hours in robinson's starbucks. (<- Security retard by telling everybody this  ?). I will be leaving to Baguio after this weekend or during and wont be back for a week or two (Definitely coming for the meeting mentioned in the pilipinas thread). The price is going down because of the weekend and will go up after it (Like it does every single week). So I suggest you catch me for some cheap coins before I leave to baguio.

Security isn't a problem if you do the transaction in a mall with an armed guard, like Starbucks / Robinsons. The buyer is the one that would be worried since he is holding cash. The seller (you) has a phone or a computer. When the cash transfers to you, just hide it immediately and exit another way.

Australian born Filipino here , What is the bitcoin scene like in the Philippines. Is hardware for mining easy to acquire. I'll make it back to the Philippines one day. 

Hello there Polyatomic, the Bitcoin community in the Philippines is growing slowly AFAIK. Hardware for mining is not easy to acquire compared in the US. GPUs are easily available but it's now getting obsolete to use them as ASICs make their way in the Bitcoin network.

Look for the Pilipinas thread. We're all there. As for mining, there are a few who claim to have ASICs here, but I haven't really seen them. Understandably you wouldn't advertise or openly flaunt it.
