Who else invested in XRP and is smiling right now?

How long did you smile?  Yes it's up 12% from yesterday but the 40% pump only lasted two hours.  Ripple has great tech but I've been hearing how it's going to moon but I just don't see the catalyst.  The last thing banks want is a volatile currency to send around the globe.  Imagine the headache explaining why their books shifted by 50% overnight because their XRP currency moved around.  They're going to control the price to ensure consistent value.

I agree with you completely. XRP is a great crypto coin with tremendous potential thanks to its real life use cases, but the supply is its biggest coin and the problem is that the developers keep flooding the market with more and more xrp to reduce its value every month. These pumps and dumps are short spikes according to me and I am not expecting any big spike sometime soon.

Did we just not see a typical pump and dump? Without any real reason, the coin raises with 30-40 % and a couple of hours later the coin is back to its "normal" value...

I believe the spike is due to a tweet about AMEX joining the Ripple Network.

I picked up a little bit at around 18 cents so seeing a 15% growth this morning was pretty nice but I still do not plan to sell for a little while yet, my target price is a little higher still.

Even if it goes down, it usually just settle and never sinks to incredible low values.

Anyway, weekly I see good news from ripple and the implementations so I expect a big leap ahead in the future.

Yep, if they do make that breakthrough with a bank it will really shoot up but it's important to remember that ripple can't ever really go too high in value simply because of its large supply. If it reached $1 it would be just behind ethereum in terms of market cap.

Not me,  sure, Ripple really is a pretty decent coin and is looking good now with its slow but sure increase. But i just don't see its concept as something i cam say awesome. That is why I kept my distance from it.

But hey, that just my way of seeing things. What you do is still your decision.
