Is Bitcoin only worth anything because venture capitalist are earning money indirectly off the drug trade?

Personally, I think this plays a HUGE factor.

Buy up all the little drug dealers bitcoins and sell the BTC back to the dealers customers for a nice profit legally... lord knows people aren't using Bitcoin right now to avoid banking fees :-/.

You haven't been on the dark web in a while have you? mostly things are moving with monero vice bitcoin. is bitcoin being used, certainly, but the majority is monero. also there are other ventures for bitcoin other than drugs (and porn). there are more established legit sites such as steam, microsoft, and overstock that are utilizing bitcoin as payments. you can also purchase cars, homes, and travel with bitcoin. it is becoming more of an economy (in the "legit" sense) as time progresses.
