I am following the Beginner's Guide To Zcash Mining and am at Section 3, "Download the EWBF Zcash Miner." I am using Windows 10, X64, with a Nvidea Geforce GPU 1080 8GB. Now, I have gone through the instructions multiple times, and I cannot get the "Zec Miner" to extract to "EWBF Zcash Miner" and show up on my desktop. The thing that shows up on my desktop is "Zec Miner." What am I doing wrong?

You had to start not from mining, but from learning  how you use your PC properly.

create a new folder and just extract everything into that folder and call it a day. (and watch some youtube videos about basic windows explorer and ntfs file system functions)

using winrar, 7.zip

By default, there is a built-in zip and unzip in windows 10. So probably it has been extracted to somewhere not at desktop.

Easy way is to copy the zip file to desktop, right click give 'extract here' option. Whatever file is available in your zip file will get extracted to your desktop.
