The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

What is the cost of importing any miner (BFL/Avalon/KNCminer)? Anyone who has got mining gear shipped to India via Fedex/DHL, please enlighten us.

I think 22% is true.
10% Duty
1% Landing charges
5% Countervailing duty
3% CESS
3% Education CESS

Total 22%

Indian govt sucks man, if you want to buy in cheap, buy from a "group buy" and tell sender to repack it, and  send it as gift.

He needs to send invoice in a separate mail/email.

It could be cheaper for you to goto the KnC outlet and carry it back to India if u have just bought one. This would just be treated like CPU and you can carry a computer back home without declaration as far as i know. Technically as well miner is not far from CPU - so should not be a prob.

If it has a PSU, Customs will give problems; I hear.

I just got newsletter from KNC miner, if those who ordered will not pay their orders in 7 days, it  will be canceled. My order will be canceled too and it was on of the first orders for Jupiter

Quote
Jupiter is now a 400 GH/s device and therefore Saturn is a 200 GH/s device.

supper power !!

Quote
we can achieve a minimum of 100GH/s per chip. Which we think most people will agree, puts us far ahead of our current competitors.

intna chota chip inta mazbut ... oh man!!

I got a jalapeno and i ended up paying 24.8% customs + 300INR handling charges to courier. The value declaration was scratch off and was over written by the courier officer (obviously he has over written it with the higher value). So u just cant get the calculation right till it gets cleared by customs.

what is total amount you paid for  custom. was it shipped via Indian post. In case if you upgrade shipping and it been shipped by courier like Fedex custom duty will be much less.

I paid a little more than 2k. Yes it got it through fedex itself. i like fedex as it has highest success rate of getting the item out of customs without getting with-held there where we will be required to goto custom office and deal with mess. I am happy to pay 300 INR to them extra instead of wasting half of my day at customs office.

DHL express and Fedex both are good, i've recieved many items without any problems.

Ps: when did you bought that jalapeno? last year or?

That sucks then, sender should have sent it as gift and invoice via email.
You could have easily saved 2k that you paid.

Yes but based on my previous buying from ebay.com for which i never paid import duty, i thought this will come through as well as it is a small sized box. but it has grabbed the customs eye. How ever it is still not taxed for full value. So still some what happy about it haha.
