It is all about rewritting the failed experiment of western consumerism.

It is all about a true global community without borders and central government oppression.

Bitcoin is already a global currency, just the first one. Which is showing humanity there is another way to live other than under wasteful  military and central banking adventures.

Yes, Completely agree with you. Bitcoin has been created for other things such as decentralization. But most of the people including myself are looking at bitcoin as an investment which will make us reach.

In a mind of a person with great vision probably yes but to a mere merchant and people who is trying to survive for everyday life, it is no more than a currency where he can take profit from if gets involved in its activities.  I am afraid I am one of those who just look at Bitcoin as a mere currency, a tool to use to to satisfy one's need or greed.  I am not politician nor a diplomat, and just have a normal guys view about Bitcoin. So in my opinion it is just a tool as a currency,  and the vision behind it depends on who is using it IMO.

If satoshi would be here to see everything that bitcoin has reached right now, it would be amazing to have him in here just like it was before.
I saw his posts and he was always replying to other people questions about bitcoins, and how did the technology works, now that he is not in this forum anymore it is so strange, just imagine how it would be to have him in here again. Bitcoin is now globally, just like he wanted it to be, and it is a success, i have never doubted about bitcoin and about all the things that it was going to reach in a near future.

Not just a currency but also an asset.  If you are holding a stock share from stockmarket. Bitcoin is a very good HOLD asset to keep. Compare to Forex or stockmarket. Bitcoin can be transferred from your local wallet, or from exchange site to exchange site. It can be a good heritage wealth too. Imagine you can pass your crypto coin as heritage money to your kids? Isnt great?

It's sad to actually know that bitcoin is just used as another asset for investment and capitalists are also taking advantage of that as well. Banks are slowly developing their own crypto and would now soon be embraced by the regular folks again.

That's entirely subjective, but this forum is supposed to be dedicated to bitcoin however due to the advent of altcoins, this has also harbored those coins as well.

Currency for trading is a human necessity. Bitcoin does this globally; suddenly making a true global community possible.

Maybe not how the globalist central banks ( who finance the military) would like but more along the line of most of us small folks riding bicycles and marketing something we grow in our backyard.

We just witnessed how Bitcoin resisted an attempted takeover by bankster/forkster crooks.

Bitcoin is proving to be quite resilient, though we can be sure more attacks are underway.

the immediate threat of high fees is very real but we have real tools now to fight that. Like the faster smaller coins; ETH, LTC, XMR ect.

The real threat will come from government trying to feed up more bullshit about drugs, crime.
 If government didn't endeavor a phony militarized war on drugs (read: native medicinal plants) there would be precious little crime!
This war is for the big pharmaceutical companies, military industries, associated banking scum.

Suddenly we the people have decentralized tools to fight the government oppression.
We just gotta continue to endeavor to see through the bullshit they are trying to feed us on a daily basis.

Indeed bitcoin is a wonderful opportunity to escape the slavery of the current financial world of consumerism.

The thing that concerns me some; is how the Internet is pretty much owned and controlled by 5 companies: All USA based and arms of the NSA, CIA.
The military cryptography for Bitcoin comes from the NSA.
So they certainly know what is going on.
But still this is an opportunity for "We the People" to direct and shape this change of culture and society.

I suspect some of the deep thinkers inside the NSA/CIA realize how they screwed up with the Federal Reserve and are willing to let the Bitcoin revolution play.

You are also implying that bitcoin is just another currency which is run by a lot of people's greediness and being incomplete. I am one of the people who want to earn money from this forum, and I guess we can choose at the same time to know what really is bitcoin and earning money. Bitcoin is the root of all crypto currency, so I think it is ok that other altcoin are in here the forum.

Wherever there is money, there is a room for greed. The problem with the community is they do not really care about the purpose of "cryptocurrency" anymore, all they care about is the profit. Which is in the long run will hurt each of us in the community.

Anyway, yes, this forum is about bitcoin. I still believe in the integrity of the old people around here, I'm just cautious with talking to noobs because most of them are only here to get money, not to get knowledge.

Exactly. Thanks OP. It's not about bullshit gains of 200x and "too the moooon" . It's about having a bank in your pocket. It's about never having to trust anyone with your money again. It's about the money that you don't have to trust with anyone being a finite number and it's about the actual financial freedom that people could never even fathom before.

I told a friend that i was going to have like a bank account only that it was going to be runned by cryptocurrencies, "digital coins" and he told me that i was crazy, it was when bitcoin was less than 1/8 of its actual price. Now he has introduced himself to all this sytem, and he is holding some bitcoins too.
But i was serious when i told him that bitcoins works like a bank account, you can have all your money in there, and see it growing because the high volatility of the price.
I am happy to see that all this thing is now being a reality.

For me, yes bitcoin isn't just a currency that is simple we used to buy things, to trade money and use when we need to pay debts or buy our need. Bitcoin is a digital and decwntralized currency which we must use in order for us to have some earning and income even if we don't have any jobs.
