I'm new to the mining and online shopping world and was just wondering if buying GPUs for your mining rig on the "cyber monday" or "black friday" holidays are good ways to get a discount? Are the discounts really significant (esp for GPUs) or are these holidays just gimmicks?

probably not, the shortage is over but they still selling out quickly. May be able to get a discount but I don't think there will be any significant ones.. if you can get one, hop on it! lol

Thanks for the responses guys. Sort of seems the promotions i'm seeing are all for LED tvs. Lol.

Was kinda hoping that the news articles about people getting trampled over because of black friday shopping are really about something worth it. Apparently its just mindless people getting tricked into buying because of FOMO.

You would surely get discounts. I am working for an e-comerse site. 95% of sales happen in a year's would happen in a week on these holidays. This is the occasion for discounts on products. Search for the better retailers.
