Hello fellow Bitcoiners!

I just started a new online community forum at http://www.coinboards.org/

We also currently are available on Android and iOS via the Tapatalk App! Along with a mobile version of our site any other mobile users.

The forum features a real-time cryptocurrency ticker at the top for easy viewing. Looking to get a lot more members, the site is growing rapidly! We also have a CarbonWallet based open source bitcoin brain wallet available at http://www.coinboards.org

VIP Membership coming soon, many features, just check the site out! Smiley

Cheers!

What would happen to someone who went onto your forum, then linked to one of their own bitcoin forums telling everyone it's the new bitcoin forum?

Yeah.

Well seeing as it is a new forum then it wouldn't be allowed as its not established. This forum here at BitcoinTalk is established, meaning that even if people join my community, BitcoinTalk isn't losing out, they have over 125k members, I have 2...Either way its a win win. CoinBoards looks better, offers different features from BitcoinTalk and has much easier rules than this board. Hope to see you there! Smiley

Great idea.

I think you'll have better luck paying people to join the site.

Maybe 1 Bitcoin each.

where else would you advertise it? ;-)
people are getting pretty tired of the scams going on here and the lack of moderation on them. ie people openly selling old accounts to help scammers seem legit etc.... wouldn't surprise me if this site ended up dwindling down whilst members went elsewhere

That last won't happen, @scams and viruses @FB compare to g+ or twitter. It holds and will hold majority.
Anyways you're right on the first part, the problem with it is moderation and so the list would go on. Yes, a new community might be something that we would need (doesn't need the same/bigger userbase as this, a fraction is enough to start with), but it needs something to stand out from the rest.. something that would actually make me want to join it?

It's pretty scammy to advertise a forum, in another forum.

If I start a forum and then advertise my forum in his forum, even if my forum has less members than his, you can be pretty sure that he'll delete the thread and ban me, and rightfully so. You don't go to someone elses party then tell everyone the party is actually at your house and expect the host not to kick you out.

The carbonwallet clone he's running now as well is also a bit of a red flag, since we can't know whats going on behind the scenes with the code installed on his server.

Do you pay for every 5 posts or just the first five? Its good to have many good posts on your forum and not just five.

You're pretty damn right on that one. There's a 99% chance that he would delete the thread and ban the person who posted it.
You do make a good point. I just wouldn't trust this..yet.

Lol the forums have been online now for over 3 months...The wallets code is free available by doing a view source one coinboards.org/walletcb I have no access to anything in anyones wallet it is direct code from carbonwallet just a feature for the forum, if you actually took a look at the site then you would see how nice it is, including the features in postbits. This community generally doesn't want flamers, people who have good intentions and are set on development wouldn't want to care about or listen to the hate. See you knowledgable members there! Okay? But I dont see your point on hating on someone that has done nothing to harm you. I do graphic design for a living and bitcoin is my hobbie. If you feel so strongly that it is unsafe than dont use it, no one is telling you to be in this discussion or threatening you to join or use the wallet.
