Experience with Mining Clubcoin / Groestlcoin

Hi

i tried to understand how Clubcoin mining will work but i still dont get it. The website of Clubcoin wrote that i have to have an account at Bitclub and than my wallet needs to be online and i will mine Clubcoins.
The first problem is that you need to be invited to Bitclub. The second question is how does it work. What kind of performance or work does it create. Do i provide my coins for the community or why is there a need to leave the wallet open?
