We rent many upon many servers to run the web wallet.  These servers are not free to us.  In the current market it was becoming a massive strain on our ability to develop future projects and to maintain current ones.

The two choices were:

1.  Charge an extremely small fee

2.  Shut down the web wallet for good


We decided to charge a extremely small fee.  The people that are unwilling to accept this fee are more than welcome to use the desktop qt or the daemon which are free to use.  It is up to the end users to decide which they want to use.

The currently minimum to stake is 90 lux.  So you’re complaining about less than 90 coins in an address?

At the moment 90 lux = $12.87 usdt

You are making a massive stink over an extremely low investment.

If one cannot agree to the $1.50 monthly maintenance fee, please use a free source.  And not that I would recommend it but keeping less than $12.87 usdt on an exchange doesn’t seem like much of a risk.

I really don’t see any reason to keep going on about this as you have all the facts and options available for you.

Not so long ago, having 90 lux was no small thing.

And nowadays its not big amount of coins in terms of usd value. The monthly fee of using web wallet for now is approx 10 luxcoins. If/when Luxcoin price will change in future we consider to change the fee as well  accordingly. For now everyone who disagree with web wallet fee and wants to keep staking their coins, which was answered here and in our discord multiple times, are free to switch from web wallet to QT by follow this guide: https://docs.luxcore.io/docs/web-wallet-migrate-to-qt

I really don't understand your discontent. We said that we're not able to run Web Wallet service by our own and asked web wallet users support us with a little fee. The only alternative of it is Web Wallet shutting down. If someone don't want/not able to pay that small fee, they're free to use QT wallet instead Web wallet. Up to you accept this conditions or not. As I see you disagree, so free QT wallet option is your choice. Thats basically it.

Sure we have, team concentrated on finishing the work under Luxgate - our own Decentralized Exchange, also the network shift to our variation of RandomX algo, RX2, is being work as well atm. That's it in priority.
