PRE-ANNOUCEMENT - HELP DECIDE THE FUTURE OF THIS COIN

INTRODUCTION

This is Hexagon. Hexagon is a sort of experimental project of mine, seeing how far a community can carry a crypto-currency into mainstream adoption.

The idea behind Hexagon is that, although the coin will be worked on by me, the community should take part in every stage of development, from the concept and groundwork to the end product and mass-adoption. I will let the community pitch ideas, develop and control the coin as much as they'd like to. I'm fairly new to programming, so you could consider this a lazy step, but using this we can all learn new things and be able to support a project together and show off the power of a community. So, in essence, Hexagon is a cryptocurrency which is a blank canvas, ready to be molded by me and others who'd like to contribute.
Firstly, to get things started I want to lay out some ground rules, which are not rock-solid, but should allow people to get things moving in the right direction.

GROUND RULES

- Development direction will be decided through a voting system. -

- Anyone can pitch and develop an idea if they wish, but it's up to the community to decide if they'd like it implemented into the source code. -

- The coin will not be exploited by developers for profits, if I see this happening, I will use my power as lead developer to stop it.

- Community contribution will be rewarded with Hexagon tokens, as to promote active development. -

- There will be a 1-2% (undecided, please specify amount you'd like to have pre-mined) pre-mine in order to pay for these development "bounties" -

- The Hexagon token will only be trade-able onto an exchange once the community sees that it is ready. -

- I'm a relatively new developer, so I will need other developers help to make the communities wishes for this coin to happen. -

- Most importantly, I want this place to be friendly, we are all working towards a similar goal here, so don't try and exploit or harass others unless you see it necessary for community growth. -

- Undecided, me and others who would like to join the project's development will need time to create the cryptocurrency though. -

- Launched the Bitcointalk page. We currently need to decide on a voting system that members of the community can use for creating and deciding on future development. -

- I have created a Discord channel where community members can interact with eachother and reach out to me for personal questions. -
- If anyone wants to ask a question about coin development, I ask that they do it on these forums to allow the highest number of people to see my (or other users) answers. -

We currently have a Discord, I'd like to keep the community in one place so we can all contact eachother, so having multiple chat groups wouldn't really work out, unless the community really wants a telegram group.

Thanks for asking! It's currently an experiment to see how far a community can carry a cryptocurrency, but new features will be decided using community input! The total supply will be decided by the community once other things have been decided!

What I understand from the concept about decisions those will be taken based on voting by community. I think you need to promote it well to reach at decent size of community before the implementation of voting system. At start community size will be very small better let it grow first and then start taking decisions at later point.

Right now no polls will close until the community has significantly grown, but we will let users spread word and continue to vote until then! Thanks for suggesting.

The whole point is that it is built ground up by the community, of course I have ideas on what to do but they will be added to the mix-bag of what others want from the coin as well. So we will do what the majority of the community wishes and design the coin for them.

The discord community is currently making a list of all possible algorithms, and I will keep you all posted here once we open a poll to decide on which one we want.

Other cryptos have their own platform like some gaming currency where their coin is needed to enter on a particular game they created, did you have a plan to do the same?

The use will be adoption, just like many other currencies, however more features and uses will be decided by the community.

We'll need PoW to promote a decentralized coin with secure networks, so PoSpace is off the cards right now.
