Block Eruptor Blades

I bought one block eruptor blade from fiedcat.


The blade shows this in panel:

Another blade runs with much more GH/s

Now my question what means the "x" in: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOxOOOOOO
Seems like one of the blades is newer (at the first screenshot below: BE Blade Rev 0.2), but it makes not as much hashes as the older model made.
And why is the hashrate so low? I turned the mode to "overclocked" (high) but it just get his highest rate at 12,5-12,6 GH/s.

with overclocking, it's really a roll of the dice as to what quality you get.
no overclocking is guaranteed to produce X amount of results, some will preform better then others.

 Does the x appear when you set your clock to default speed, or does it only appear with the clock on it's High setting ?

Going to have to assume you have a bad hashing chip if that's the case Only thing that makes sense Sounds like a case for a warranty replacement, unfortunately.

The x shows a chip isn't getting enough voltage. You'll need to tweak its power lane up slightly. That might fix all your problems.

I don't know what do to. Did I have to fix this via multimeter? Or with a stronger psu? Or did I need to contact friedcat for replace? Is he still active?

I think X means the chip isn't running.
It could be because the chip is bad or because it's not receiving a high enough voltage to run stable at the selected clock setting.

I came across this issue today while restarting one of my blades. Two chips show up marked as "xx" when I had the blade defaulting to high clock mode.

If I have it defaulting to low clock mode, it comes up fine with O's across the board, and then I can toggle it to High clock speed and get it hashing closer to 13GH/s.

Emailed friedcat to report the issue/troubleshooting and we'll see how it gets resolved.

Presently running two blades off a Corsair 1200 (total overkill) on two separate rails, so I definitely know it's not a power problem. Also had the same problem when I had it plugged in to a Corsair 650

Maybe try checking the voltage of each power lane with a multimeter and manually adjusting any that are below 1.20v?
I think the included instructions show you how to do this. (adjust the little screw on the blue box looking things on the power module while reading the voltage with a multimeter)

this sounds right. i recall the board needed physical voltage adjustment if using an overclock. check the "manual" available online

Mine has one x as well, but I can make it go away easily.  Whenever I restart in High clock mode, it appears.  So the way I avoid it is I make the clock "low" first, restart, and then go back into "High" clock mode.  Then I get all 0s for the chips and it hashes perfectly.  I am not going to RMA it for such a simple issue.  Friedcat said the voltage may need to be adjusted on one of the banks but I'd prefer not to tinker if I don't have to.  Good luck.
