I am interested in taking part in blog bounties. Any ideas on how i can increase my following on the favored platforms of steemit and medium in order to be eligible for some of the solid bounty campaigns around?
-Post actively: Try blogging actively. If you're not active, your followers will stop anticipating for your awesome content!
-Quality over quantity: Instead of writing tens of 10-word articles per week, try limiting yourself to just a couple good articles per week. Not only will you encourage your followers to read every post you make, it's also a lot less work, give you & your blog a better reputation and grant you more rewards at blog bounty campaigns.
-Interact with other writers: This can yield you a lot of active followers. Interacting with other writers is easy, especially on steemit. I recommend commenting on a couple posts of other writers whose posts you like. Not only can they give you feedback, they will strengthen your fanbase too.
-Don't hesitate to change your writing style: I'm not sure about your current writing skills, but I tried writing articles for others already when I was only 12. It didn't work out well. As someone who was born and raised (and still lives) in The Netherlands, I wasn't great at English yet. Thus, my articles consisted out of short & simple sentences, not giving the articles any depth. My tone was horrible too. Now, almost 4 years later, I speak English almost fluently. I've written a lot of articles in that time, some bad ones, but many great ones also. My writing skills slowly, but steadily grew into the high standard they thrive at now and they're still growing. If I chose to stick to my old writing style, I would never have become a good writer. What I'm trying to say is: Try new things. Adapt. Adapting isn't an option. It's a necessity in the world of writing.
