Having Free electricity, how much will it cost me to start small altcoins mining

I have a desire to mining altcoins on maybe at start a small mining tools that I can manage with my daily job. I will like to know your opinion on how to start mining altcoins,  tools needed in other to start few days from now and coins to mining that has higher rate of success. I am a trader,  I also do investment in ico projects but have not trying mining. If mining is profitable, I will like to go into it. Thanks you in advance for all your opinions.
