Hey guys I'm new to mining and have been watching bitcoin since 2011 and just not jumping in. I got 6 x gtx 1070 ti and I have been haven some problems. First I'm using nicehash miner 2. It goes from $21 to 9$ a day. Why does nicehash jump so much so often. I seems like it doesn't stay on one thing long enough to make the coins. Is there any setting in the advance tab that can help this or could it be my overclock on my gpu. My gpu's are the gigabyte g1's and i'm using msi afterburner set to -27% on power -15 on gpu core, 550+ on memory speed. Second problem. So on Friday I came home and my gpu's were at 100% fan speed and nicehash software showing red flags no gpu's found. So I unplugged my gpu's and turned the system on and now the os is moving really slow to open anything. I don't mine with my cpu. cpu is a intel g4400 skylake. 8gb micron elite 2666 ddr4 board was gigabyte h110-d3a. I have sent the board back to amazon and getting the msi z270 gaming m5. I have had driver problems with the board since I started building this system. system build list is.
g4400 intel old board gigabyte h110-d3a new board msi z270 gaming m5 here on Monday. 6 gtx 1070 ti 8 gb micron elite ddr4 2666 120gb corsair ssd corsair hx1000i power supply shows I'm at 869watt full load on corsair link cpu temp never over 100f aftermarket cpu cooler not intel.

Is there a better program for a newb to use or does it work out in the end to a good earning monthly with nicehash?

$21 per day? It is unrealistic. Don't expect to get more than $2 per card per day. I don't use nicehash but rather my own private miner switcher to mine the most profitable coin at any given moment of time and I have $3 per card per day for 1070.

Is there somewhere to get your switcher miner? I didn't think I would get 21 a day. I was saying its jumping over $10 is huge. Is there a way to make it more stable around the 12-13 mark ? $9 seems low for these cards.

If you are looking user friendly one software to handle the mining. I am sure you have stick with the nice hash beta version. You may find Nvidia version in their site. It will connect and works in the blocks with in few seconds once you run the application in your computer or rig. I have tried with 2 cards and it shows 60 USD to 80 USD per month if you are okay with you can do else go with the 6 cards rig.

nope. As I said, I developed it for myself. But it gives me pretty good idea about nicehash's potential Nicehash is smart and it is good idea to learn from him.

NEVER bother looking at anything less than the "12 hour average" on Nicehash - it bounced around WAY too much due to how their marketplace works.

Like the other people said, the price depends on the offer on the market and on the "Luck" of finding shares on your algorithm. The only thing that counts there is ammount of BTC in you wallet after 24 hrs

Has any one here had a motherboard fail after a week? If its not the mother board my guess is psu since the gpu's everytime I checked were around 131f and at -27 power I don't think there dead plus what kind of luck would I have to have killed 6 in one day. I will let nicehash do it's thing.
What do u guys think about the miner 2 vs the legacy one they still have listed? I'm thinking about starting my second build and this time going with vega 64 and see how that goes.

Mobo can be killed if there was short cut or too much electiricity came into it. About building 2nd rig.. I wouldn't recommend you rx vega if you wanna get some sleep in the first week

I have ZERO use for that stupid "Version 2" of their miner. Tried it once - never again.

One thing I hate about there software is I got two 33bucks in 2.3 days but I wanted to changed the wallet I'm sending it to and it will not let u transfer the money u have to start over. so I have to keep mining to my hardware wallet until it sends my btc to me and than switch. they charge 4% for me to use my own wallet vs the 3.2% to use there's and than transfer to mine. Can I tell nicehash software what to mine or give it options and take out the useless ones so it doesn't waste it's time. Also I have a room just for mining and I installed 4 lines to the main breaker box just for this. I have 3 20 amp lines running on 10 gauge wire and 1 240 volt line on 60 amp breaker running on 10 gauge line. The NVidia system I can't hear at all and doesn't seem as hot as I was thinking it was going to be.
Also still trying to make up my mind if I should go vega 64 or rx 580 setup. I will be able to get more rx 580 faster but the vega line will last longer for mining at a higher rate. But is the power to return worth the price.

You can set the Nicehash software to ignore individual algorithms.
The nature of their marketplace is not coin specific, so you CAN'T specify specific coins to enable or disable - just algorithms.
10 gauge wire IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO SAFE FOR 60 AMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to downsize that breaker to not more than a 30 AMP immediately.
60 amps needs more like 4 gauge wire as I recall (working from memory here, not from an actual wire table).

6 gauge if the run is short. But. I could be wrong. Yeah checked copper 6 gauge works if it has correct insulation

It would be 8 or 6 gauge if it was 60 amps per wire, 240 volt uses 4 wires 2 hots 1 natural 1 ground. 2 10 guage 30 amp breakers together gives u 60 amps. I'm safe and the in is only 17 feet. The main breaker box is on the other side of the wall from the room I have it setup in. Also I'm using outside rated wire so the jacket is nice and thick.

I tried nicehash for awhile and didn't come close to their advertised payouts when it came time to cash out.
Besides the displayed payment fluctuating all over the place, it seems the rate displayed while mining is the pre-fee rate, so you need to keep in mind 3 to 4% will be taken off depending on how much you can mine before payday. I think you are better off mining a coin directly and then selling it when the market conditions are right.
On the wire gauge question, I just recently ran an sub panel to my garage fed off of a 60 AMP dual breaker in the main panel and was told by an electrician I could use 6 gauge wire since the run was only 30 feet. I think if the run were to go much past 50 feet the requirement would increase to 4 gauge wire.

The 3 120 volt lines and 1 240 line was only 125 bucks for the lines. I had a friend that wires homes help me and only spent 4 hours installing all of it. even put the wall back up.
Is there any good write up's for newb's to under stand what miners to trust and what works best for each type of card?

8 gauge - NO BLOODY WAY. Only rated for 30 to 55 amps depending on specific wire type - and in a hot mining environment you need to DERATE for temperature. 6 gauge - probably OK depending on the wire type. http://www.usawire-cable.com/pdfs/nec%20ampacities.pdf Thickness of the jacket is actually a MINUS for it's ability to carry current without overheating, as the jacket is an insulator that RETAINS heat. DO NOT WIRE BREAKERS UP IN PARALLEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THAT IS AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE CONDITION. 220 does not "need" neutral to feed pure 220 volt devices - the only time a 220 circuit uses a "neutral" is if it is ALSO feeding 110 volt devices, or if it is feeding "dual voltage" devices like a lot of ranges that use 110 for the clock/timer stuff. A breaker on a circuit should ALWAYS have the same or LOWER amperage rating of the WIRE used on a circuit - this makes the BREAKER the point that will "fail" first. Doing it the other way around is a major safety hazard, as it can allow the WIRE to overheat and fail before the breaker pops open.
