www.hongkongasics.com is a link that was shared with me... the site says they "assemble" ASICs and are shipping them now, does this mean they just use Avalon or someone else's chips? Also, does anyone have any experience buying from them? Their prices seem reasonable, but I am afraid to make the dive and actually try to buy some w/ no knowledge of them.

Man your either naive, or dumb, tht site screams scam. Do you not think they may have announced being an ASIC producer, rather than keep a low profile, and allow people to stumble across them? Don't you think it's odd they are offering the exact same product range as theading competitor currently? 2BTC is approx $200!

I have to check out for a while. Really. The levels of insanity are just too great. But worse, after reading too many of these threads, I begin to sympathize with the scammers, and that's not healthy.
The emotion and thought goes, "Sure, they're corrupt, they would be criminals in other settings, and they are shameless, bare-faced liars. But they have to be a little smart, and at least aren't greedy little morons like the ones who reply: 'Wow! Interested! When will you have a prototype? Can I send you my BTC now?' "
The latter are beyond help, the former are outside of any legal, ethical, or moral control, so what's left to worry about? It will play out regardless of any voice yelling into the howling wind.
I'll be back when the Avalon chips appear, the BFL boards start coming together, KNC's hardward ships, or Christmas, whichever come first.
