Hello all.
I am doing a little research and I try to find out how many ICOs where done in 2017.
On https://www.coinschedule.com/stats.php it says 218 but I find it hard to believe as I can recall there were at least 80 just in August. According to me the number should be around 1400 but I can't find anything tangible online. Care to help?
Cheers

There is a rough amount of 18 ICO's per month, successful and non-successful, so yes that number is correct.

There are definitely thousands, from a recent article I have read it was the case that there were over three thousands ICO's launched in 2017, which is crazy if you think about it. 99 percent of them are completely worthless and investors will sooner or later get rekt and lose everything. I hope people are somewhat conservative and don't spend more than they can afford, currently it's kinda tricky and it's not easy to recognize which project is for real and which projects want to scam their investors. Either way the best thing is to do your own due dilligence and read the whitepaper and relevant blogs to really understand what the coin is about. Don't wait for a new project to pop up, rather just wait until you find the one, and when you do so, invest in it.

Do you remember which article it was? I could use that
