You need to look for credible websites. Do not even come across the suspects because we are often dealing with SCAMs from hackers who want your money.

Yes if you are looking for serious Airdrops you have to be really careful, thats are a lot of scam on the road.

(The most serious with good interest rates I found is Bitcore a virtual BTC fork with 3% weekly)

Although airdrops ain't that profitable these days because the devs are after their own profit but you can still get latest airdrop from this telegram groyp. You just type @airdrops on telegram it will take you there.

Just follow some websites/group that have been mentioned above.

Mostly some airdrops don't have rank requirement, and you can find it anywhere here in the forum. I think someone created a thread on altcoin discussion about new airdrops so you can check it there. And also, in marketplace(altcoins)-->Bounties, and yeah on Announcement just like everybody said. Sometimes those coin ends up with no value at all, but it's fine though, because it's free!

You can find airdrops in different ICOs announcement threads. Some ICOs offer you free tokens like that!

Any ICO that is upcoming could post in their announcement thread and inform the community that they have an Airdrop available to collect. Usually they will ask you to sign up somewhere and you will need to provide them with an email address.

It not only happens with ICO's.- They are some coins are using this as distribution way to the community. Sometime as reward for holding coins.
A good example is Bitcore (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.0). They have 4% of the amount you holding weekly Airdrops!
