Altcom is just a hidden GEM and not many people know about it. They are going to implement masternodes in mid december and their staking system is great.

In my opinion the best way to check it are websites which allow you to see which coin is the best currently. you should consider it because the price is always changing the same as a stake mining level. So it should help you much more to pick the best one for you.

I like Neblio for staking, 10% per year, plus price is good at the moment as things are quiet whilst they work on restful API's. Once API's are released it should rise rapidly.

I know you said you want an altcoin that can be purchased in bittrex, but I would suggest you check out ICOs. Take for example Angel Token. This is a very promising ICO  that recently launched last November 27. If you take time to read their white paper you will understand just how they would accomplish the x6.9 return on your investment. If you want to be a trader, being part of a community that is dedicated to crypto currency investments would be a huge boost to your knowledge and investment. Basically Angel Token wants to derive its value from the investments that the community behind it would make.

Run full nodes with collateral for DASH, NEM, XZC, and SYS.
also prepare to run for graft.network.

delegated harvesting for NEM, require little effort to setup, and almost 0 effort to maintain/administer.

I'd like to get a crypto that I can stake for a decent amount of interest and which fits these criterea:

Doesn't have to have the client open 24/7.  I"m fine with leaving it running about 50% of the time.

purchasable on bittrex

I looked into buzzcoin but at 1200% the interest rate seemed perhaps too good for the coin to be sustainable, and I couldn't find it on bittrex.   Thanks!

Maybe what you'r looking to make as profit can be found at investing in online casino's, I can't imagine a coin offering you 1200% profit.

I have tried before on staking coins but i realise most of them ended up in losses. This is because you need to keep the computer on 24/7 which is kind of hard for me. And 2ndly which is the also the most important, the staking reward is slower than the increase in supply. So always end up the price drop faster den my staking rewards can cover.

I think Amor (amorcoin.org) is a good candidate for this purpose. They just started their crowdsale and they even have a 20% bonus offer for a limited time! They are decentralising the dating industry

Trezarcoin is an interesting possibility.

I mined 32,000 coins and after only 24 hours the cojns started staking.  Been getting almost 200 coins per week after the auction coins matured.  800 in October and November.

TZC is also showing up as a good profit as a mining coin.  It is neoscrypt and runs well on Nvidia cards.

TZC has run from 200 Sats to over 500 this week to an all time high.  Take that for what it's worth.

i think now a days many of the cryptos are able and good to stake like if talked about the current market the crypto users become expert in dealing of the crypto world. In the past everyone was fearful about the currency swaps and investment in the currencies but now it is normal for daily use. The altcoins are good to stake if you win you can try again but you should be fully aware of the market forces.

Some are scam, but here are my favourites:

-> Props: https://propsproject.com < supported by YouNow and backed by Union Square Ventures (the same as Kik or Filecoin)

-> AppCoins: https://appcoins.io < supported by Aptoide and backed by e.Ventures (San Francisco / Germany), Golden Gate Ventures (Singapore) and Gobi VC (China)

Compare them using Google Trends, adding Kin/Kik which ICO is over:

the coin you're looking for is ark for sure.

also, trezorcoin is looking profitable for both mining and staking. good luck though.

The minex holders earn the commision from the minexbank. I just think that work just like the bank system that the fees from the transaction will be stored in the minex bank.
But another good coin to stake just like NEO with only put the token in the wallet and we will able to stake our coin in the NEO blockchain.

Minex commision give the possibility about the inflation in the future.

I heard Rise is more profitable to stake than ark.. Also, much more room for price growth.

Best staking coin that is rain. Very quickly come Stuckey even if you have a small balance. 10-20 thousand to the price of the token 300 sat. And do the x2 coins for the year very easily. Moreover, if you have 200 thousand coins then x2 in coins can be done in a couple of months. Well Stuckey and ESP came. 25% per year. but now do not come.
ATOM like too fast coins staking
