If you are just holding for 6 months I think that really closes down you options for real profit. You may get lucky if a coin gets pumped, but you can of course get the exact opposite. Given your time frame, and not including bitcoin, I would go for Dash, Ether or IOTA. All of them seem to be able to jump at any moment, because they are a lot of rumors of improvements to the network on the first two, and IOTA is getting a lot of attention lately since it offers a now fee option for transactions. But again, if you really want to hold, I would suggest that you do it for at least a year.

Currently the price of the bitcoin is going high and high but the market is going down and down much  , so here we have better opportunity to buy altcoins which are better and having high potential .
Currently in my opinion the best coins to buy are reddcoin , Digibyte coin , doge coin , blry coin , trump coin , Pak coin , pxi , tam , btg  etc for long term of 3-4 months these are better coins , so we should make use of the better time here to invest in these coins just now because it is much easier to make profit soon for us because market of altcoins going down much than what the price of the bitcoin increasing .
