Seems that many of us have watched the "golden circle" TED talk.
And it also seems we are already collectively changing our argument from what is BTC to "Why BTC? We believe in BTC. "

It only seems appropriate that a BTC representative now do a TED talk on BTC!  with of course the new framing "We believe".

I immediately thought we should ask Gavin to consider a TED talk, I mean hes already giving the CIA some lovin, so why not so loving to progressives that watch TED.

With our vast borg like resources, and initiative I think we can arrange a great TED talk.

Volunteers to contact and arrange with TED?

Volunteer or Nomination for someone to give the talk?

i would be very surprised if there is a btc talk @ ted in the next time. bticoin is more an anarchic grassroots movement, not top-down from the industry and leaders.

I really hope this idea get's a lot of support!

My personality type: INTJ - please forgive my weaknesses (Not naturally in tune with others feelings; may be insensitive at times, tend to respond to conflict with logic and reason, tend to believe I'm always right)

but as I was informed, Gavin treat bitcoin only as an "experiment", he is not a big believer.
Maybe someone else can deliver a far more better speech.

While I agree completely with the idea of someone giving a TED talk about Bitcoins, I fear we're going to stall when it comes to deciding who that someone should be. It can't be someone who thinks this is just an experiment, but it also can't be someone who thinks it's a panacea. No religious zealots, but also no anarchist hackers. No bankers, no libertarians, no drug lords... What we need is a philosopher who can explain the concept of money to a bright audience, take on the usual battery of anti-bitcoin arguments and knock them down one by one, hopefully while eliciting a chuckle or two from the crowd...

Does such a beast exist? I hope so, but doubt it.
