https://rebelliousscam.wordpress.com/scammers/

looks like little bit-shady

can someone suggest is it good to download and install Rebellious eth wallet (https://www.rebellious.io/store-rebellious-coins/)

questions:

1.) how to trust airdrop is fair.
2.)  after adding in exchange how to trust that devs don't dump.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I have my doubts, I do not like the idea of putting my MEW private key in a software downloaded from their page, even though I am into  airdrop but that part is the one I do not like

I havent downloaded their wallet because I wasn't phased about the 10% POS every 30 days - maybe after the FREE airdrop process I'll look into it.

But I was under the impression if you are required to disclose a private key to join then just create a new MEW address - and only hold ETH in it for trx fees. I don't think its a scam just because its asking for a private key wallet set-up but I get why people would be dubious. But at the end of the day the project still has a lot going on in regards to its developers and creators. And its FREE so...

Its always good to be wary - but unless you have committed money to something and had it taken from you - then how can you call it a scam. They are giving away the REBL right now so I feel like you're jumping the gun on it being a scam to be honest.

Yes i fully agree with the fact that we shouldn't call something a scam unless it robs you.But we should always be aware of such wallets especially when they ask for our private key even though they may be 100% legit.Still Rebellious project looks huge and promising to me so i have joined their airdrop, but i haven't downloaded the rebellious wallet instead i have given my MEW wallet address.

Not only this..I think 95% of ICOs ..and airdrops are SCAMS.
I think there should be some kind of regulations to restrict scammy ICOs and save investors from getting ripped off

I can't trust the wallet need to import my private key, due to I am not the dev, I don't know what behind it, if I want to join it , I will create a new wallet
or using the dummy account.

I would not trust the project that require disclosing my wallet private key. I cannot even imagine any reason for that except potential stealing.

Guys, you've all got it wrong, NO ONE is asking for your private key, Rebellious is only asking for your ETH address so they can airdrop (DON'T confuse this with your private key, they are different!!!), no one can steal from you by just having your address, they can view what you have but that's it. I find it scary that none of you have picked this up yet.

I have been a little bit wary of this.  I joined for the airdrop and I got my tokens.  I have the wallet and I use it to access my secured keystore.

I have been concerned about the possibility of theft, since the app could easily store the keystore file and capture key strokes to get the private key to unlock it.

So far so good, though.  I have been getting about .5 token per day after the 10-day hold.

NOBODY WANTS YOUR PRIVATE KEY

WE ASK FOR YOUR ETH ADDRESS TO SEND THE TOKEN'S TO

THE REBEL WALLET IS A LIGHT WALLET AND DOESN'T STORE YOUR KEY

STOP SPREADING FUD AND USE YOUR HEAD

Yes, for someone who has the time to go through and scour every line of code, they could be assured of this.  But, a newbie that has even a modicum of paranoia could easily come to the conclusion that it is POSSIBLE for a wallet to do what I described.

btw, I posted an issue on github for the v0.0.1 wallet, are you guys monitoring them?

I don't know much about the Rebellious project, but people who can't distinguish private keys from ETH address should not make scam accusations.

You can test this yourself by using a virtual machine. You should try to get one installed if you're trying to try out new software and stuff. Either that or maybe invest into a hardware wallet so that your coins stay offline instead of having them in a different wallet. I guess you could keep your money in an exchange site, but that is pretty shady considering how bittrex has been treating their own users more recently.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

For all I know that the rebel coin doesn't use ICO sell at all, they focusing on distribution and the use for buying stuff.

Well no scams report so far so it is legit. You should just create new wallet that just store rebel coin for the wallet.

There is no secure coin and 100% guarantee that it will profiting you to invest.. Even BTC is shady coin if you ask me.

This whole discussion about rebellious beeing a scam is ridiculous. Everything they published yet looks super professional, they allready have working wallets both for windows and mac. They paid allready over 50k $ from their own money in order to pay for transaction fees and they still distributing. If you dont trust the wallet - wait for other users to confirm it. Or use an empty adress where you only store your FREE tokens.
Calling it a scam without evidence (come on that link you posted is...well...a five year old could do it better and if you research the, project for yourself nothing thats written on that link gives me a bad feeling about it)  is not fair!
