Hi fellow bitcoiners.

With this post I would like to warn you against using www.btc4amazon.com which I believe is a scam and I have lost 3.62 BTC dealing with them.

Around 10 days ago I used their site to order a phone via Amazon and sent them the corresponding BTC. https://blockchain.info/es/tx/bce19ce508a62d29fa74a78115de36747a7bfee95f19c2b55e0a9a883ba1b478

It seems to me that the BTC is still just hanging around on their account, but I am not able to get any feedback from them and therefore I'm raising this thread. Below is the entire e-mail correspondence I've had with btc4amazon. In my last mail to btc4amazon I raised the concern of a scam and said that I would post online if no feedback. This is 10 days ago.

By second thoughts it is clear that I should have been more careful before using their service and there are several warning signs that they are scammers. The order confirmation and website etc. is fairly unprofessional and other threads in this forum have had bad experiences as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225307.0

Anyway I hope that no other will use their service and have similar experiences. Also if there is any advice out there on potential next steps, please let me know.

Lastly I am wondering if Hero members such as juggalodarkclow https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225307.0  are aware that they are being used as a credibility source for these types of websites? (I am not sure what the relationship is here).

Take care out there

UPDATE JULY 7th 2013.
Today I received a mail from Aaron who said he was the rightful owner of www.btc4amazon.com and that there has been a misunderstanding around my order, due to an incident between www.btc4amazon.com and ziggap. Because of this Aaron (btc4amazon) apologised and they have now also refunded my 3.62 BTC.

Even though it has been a hassle working with btc4amazon, I'm glad that they have come back to me with an explanation and refunded my money. It shows that they have good intentions and I no longer consider their service to be a scam.
