Anyone know if the current version of Armory will work with the new fork of Tether (OMNI)

Looking at the changes

https://github.com/tetherto/omnicore/pull/1/files

Only 2 changes were made. First is banning that address and second was the DB_VERSION change from 3 to 4.

I created an offline wallet with Armory.

Then I use the omniwallet.org and create an unsigned transactions on the Omni/Tether layer. Bring it to armory which signs the transactions and then later on I broadcast it. It worked many times in the past.

Basically followed this guid

That's some bootleg monstrosity they got there...

As long as they stick to Bitcoin style transactions, Armory can sign for that stuff, irreverent of the consensus layer.

Looks like OMNI 0.3 has been released as a mandatory update

https://github.com/OmniLayer/omnicore/releases

Wondering if the Armoury cold storage signing will still work or will it require an update?

Bump!

Just wondering if anyone here has managed to successfully get a transaction signed with the new 0.3V of Omni layer.

Basically using the online wallet omniwallet.org create a transaction that needs to get signed offline on your other PC.

I haven't tried this since they hard-forked and want to make sure I won't be getting any issues.

You are probably the only one trying to do this.  If you wait for others to figure it out, it will be a long wait.  Your best chance it trying it yourself.

Yes I think so too. Which is surprising since this is the only way to cold storage  tether and it seems nobody is doing it.

This will sound harsh, but you seem to be under the impression that people using tether have a modicum of sense in them.

oh man...lol

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.

Well I tried it and it still seems to work.

I know there is a lot of negatively towards Tether. Hence I kept a very small position in Tether incase it went belly up.

Either way for someone wishing to hold Tether, I think cold storage is still very important. I think your software is the only option out there that allows this.

Giving this thread a bump because its been a while since I've made an offline signed omni (tether) transaction and wondering if version 0.96.3 will still work in getting the transaction signed since the omni layer went through a few major software updates.

Has anyone here been able to get their tether transactions signed created by omniwallet.org without issue? If so what version of Armory are you using.

This actually worked in June 2019 without issue however since then I haven't made any recent transactions and wondering if I will encounter any issues.
