AHD is perfect to use for quality enthusiasts. It's the second best HD-only tracker after HDBits. They have a lot of great internal groups (BMF, decibeL,D-ZON3, FTW-HD, HiFi, NCmt, OISTiLe, ZQ) that strive for good quality encodes as well as providing extensive remuxes. A lot of the golden popcorn torrents on PTP (staff picks for good encodes) are taken from here. Scene stuff isn't exactly a priority here and people tend to all immediately jump on the internal group releases rather than the scene content. The size of their internal releases are a lot bigger than scene stuff but you can rest assured they have a partial free leech system with most grabs being 50%/75% freeleech on the torrents. They also have a bonus system that helps you build up points similar to how PTP works but without the additional boost for longer sharing. I wouldn't worry about people not seeding remuxes over long term stretches as the users do a great job of keeping older content alive. There's still a large amount of great films that don't have any iTunes releases, HDTV 720p rips at all though so in an ideal situation you would use AHD in conjunction with another site for the SD/DVDR content you desire. Oh and the layout/looks are very straight forward and clean. It's one of the harder tracker in terms of ratio maintenance. It's easier if you have loads of hard drive space and a seedbox The entire system is set up to encourage as much seeding as possible.
