Bittrex Disabled Withdrawls for Unverified Accounts?? Please help me :(

So the last few weeks bittrex has been like "we're not supporting US residents anymore. You aren't one, right?"
And I was obviously like, "no" even though I am.

But now they reduced withdraw limits to 0 for unverified customers.

I got some of my portfolio out ahead of time, but I'm sorta freaking out that my funds are trapped forever.

Any ideas as to what I can do would be so greatly appreciated.

Edit: The unverified account thing still stands, but I was wrong about the US resident thing. That was Bitfinex and I just misread the email... whoops! My bad everyone. Apologies.

If you are not US resident then why dont you try to verify your account??
After verify so you can withdraw your portofolio.
Is that so hard to verify?? As i know in the other exchange they need scan of identity card, scan of utility bill and might be verify phone number. I dont know what they need in bittrex.

US Bittrex Customer here, verified “Enhanced” account, just withdrew 2 BTC no problem. Been selling BTG all weekend and buying BTC and alts and withdrawing them no problem.

Are you sure you aren’t talking about Bitfinex? I haven’t seen anything from Bittrex that says they aren’t supporting U.S. accounts.

Just follow all the requirement if you still want to use their service, I just get my account verified lately and it does not require me a long period of time to know the result, it was instant actually so now I am enjoying trading in bittrex. I have read good feedback on bittrex and the volume is really good so I would do everything to protect my account, so far I have not face any problem.

I don't think this could be a trustworthy post. There are many flaws from the writer side. The issue of the US national was resolved earlier as the exchanges has announced them to withdraw their funds.
Sometime we make mistakes by ourselves and then complain from others. For example why will someone be using unverified account? If you are using unverified account then you will definitely meet the consequences.

It's really not their fault, what you can really do it to verify your account in order to prove that you are not a citizen from U.S. , Bittrex might be legal in other countries but not in U.S. It is not about stealing your money it is about maintaining their business  as a cryptocurrency exchange and if they experienced issues like this they might faced a complaint for their business and the worst scenario they will be shut down with all the other funds of verified users. It is really good that this kinds of businesses are complying with legal requirements.

Not only in your country, in my country there are many bittrexxer can not carry out the withdrawal . And there are many people who cannot verification bittrex account.

They have locked my account right after away that i deposited those $2k worth of neo and ethereum, they asked me for an enhanced verification (which i really provided) but they denied this, i had to send a ticket but they still did not answered to my inquerie, and more than seven days have passed since i sent it.
I consider it as lost money, because i know that they are never going to return this to me.

I'm sorta confused how this is an untrustworthy post or what the "flaws on the writer side" are. I made a mistake and edited the original post to say the US resident thing wasn't the issue. But the undeniable truth is that they allowed unverified members to withdraw, and then without warning, they didn't anymore. Yes, you can just verify, but I tried to do it and it failed. I sent an email to support and they're SLOW to do anything, unsure what they will eventually do. Regardless of whether or not I will be able to eventually get my funds out, this unannounced change in policy has negatively affected my ability to trade and makes me not want to do business with them anymore. Decentralized exchanges FTW.

of course that there is no way that you can get your money back, because those people are never going to reply to the tickets, and less to the accussations because they have thousands of them in all around the internet.

Because you used to be able to deposit, trade and withdraw without verification. Why verify if you don't need to? And then Bittrex changed the rules without warning so if your account isn't verified your money is trapped there now. It would have been fine had they just warned their customers so we would have had a chance to pull our money out, but Bittrex didn't warn us.

There are many enhanced verified accounts as well that goes back to basic account and need to verify again which is somewhat non-sense. They are just adding more workload knowing that they have maybe thousand of tickets every day to deal with. It is just unfortunate for your friend not being able to withdraw it. There are so many who are waiting for at least a month already and no news from the support yet. There are some who finally get their account verified after months of waiting so if you are one of the unfortunate ones whose account is disabled then there is no choice but to wait for their response.

I'm also unable to withdraw money from my Bittrex account and on trying the enhanced verification, the documents and selfie I presented was not accepted, but I guess they'll, when I submit a clearer picture showing my face.

I want to take it, this development has to do with the soaring value of Bitcoin and its antecedent of being attractive to criminally minded people, so enforcement of AML and KYC across the exchanges should come as no surprise to anyone and it's not exclusive to customers from the U.S.. I would say, let's exhaust all the opportunities of getting our money out and when it all fail, then we can start calling them scam, but not until then.

I still have quite a few ETH left on my account and hopefully I can still recover it. Kept it there since Dec. 2016 and have never opened it anymore since I never really bothered diving deep into ETH. But now that it has significantly amounted to something, I tried to opened my account. Lo and behold, my account has been disabled since I haven't passed their verification process and I cannot withdraw. Tried contacting support but I only got a copy-pasted bullshit after my verification documents "failed" on their system.



Tried doing the verification again and guess what? Still declined. I just want to get my money out of their goddamn site and I'm done doing business with them.

It was a stressfull moment couple months ago when I had verification for enhanced,
I need to transfer more than 3 BTC,
So I asked Bittrex to upgrade.

I had to send couple docs and scanned docs to verify one and other.

It was during big dropping price like 1/2.

I could say that Bittrex had to be very carefull,
It might be big money and process.

it's all not about safety or something like that but instead it's a specification,
for you who is living in europe or certain area and did not live at their so called 'restricted area',you do not need to worry because they will not do nothing to you and your account absolutely.
but for them who want to verify their account and live outside from that places i am afraid there'll be a lot of problem that will happen.
for example :
whenever you send your verification they will not answer your ticket immediately until you're sending a back up ticket.
plus when you have a balance in your account,you can not withdraw it immediately or i called it 'hostages'.
so in conclusion everything is messed up and i do not recommend you guys to trade it in there at this moment.
