I'm really happy with how MetaCo.in is turning out.  It's a little scary with each deal's sales being public.  Our failures (*cough* English software *cough*) are public, but so are our successes.  All but one of our deals so far have been successful.  Having public successes means that other merchants see there is a market for bitcoin purchases.

I'm interested in taking MetaCo.in to the next level and would really appreciate you voting in this poll and/or writing in what you think would improve the site.  Thanks to everyone for all the support.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

You know, I answered 'Us using our leverage to get non btc-accepting businesses to offer deals for coins.'.. which I feel is very important.  But I think with this site in particular, I think the 'More frequent deals (one a day would be nice)' seems better for now.

I'd shut down for a week, gather together enough deals where if one is not necessarily going for the day, that front page is used to advertise and hint at what the next deal is going to be with a huge countdown clock (basically have a month full of deals prepared, knowing which ones are time sensitive and which ones you can just post at any time).   Side bar would have the info on the last deal I guess.  Having a good 'in between' landing page while deals are not going on is a key thing I think, then that goal of an item a day.

Must.  Resist.  Urge.  To say "DUH DONATE NOW THAN LUL"

This is going to be harder than it seems, I'll be back later :p

Edit: Honestly, MetaCo.in provides that fun web site shopping experience (obviously Woot dominates this, but there are many others with all sorts of function).  Either way, the fact that your site is run by Bitcoin is second to the fact that you have the feel of a site that says "Hey, we got some great deals, get it now, time is limited" .. if I didn't know what the currency was, I would just assume it is UK or something Non-America is all, so I really wish the site well in a general market, it'll take just that one or two great deals and great partnerships I think to be legitimate.  This is of course post-Bitcoin legitimacy itself, but I try and ignore that when seeing everyone's sites.
