    Hello,
My name is James and I am trying to figure out a good way to power my rig with a combination of solar/wind as a main source and power from the standard ac outlet in my house. I basically want to have two ac outputs, one from the solar/wind, and one from the main power in my house, I have graphics cards w/ extra pci-e power connectors so a second power supply isn't an option, what I need is like a switch, where both inlets come to an automatic switch that is set default to use the solar inlet but in the case where there is none of, the switch will automatically switch to the ac inlet directed from the house, so my system wont shut-down / crash if I lose power, I doubt that if there is such a thing, that it could switch in real-time so I would have the the switch connect to a ups before heading to the computer. (The computer will be using 800 watts) Please, if anybody has any recommendations or can tell me of such a device, I haven't been able to find anything on google so now I have to ask people. Tongue Thank you! -James

Agreed with the previous. You should consult with electric specialists about your issue. But before them calculate the costs of your installation. Is it economically reasonable to make that power supply just for one rig with only 800W consumption

For a combination of solar and wind power, you should look for solar and wind charge controller.
There is plenty information about that on the internet.

You could look this variant maybe its a right thing for you link:

I have the whole thing figured out for how I am going to generate the needed power from the solar / wind turbines, I just need like an automatic switch kinda like a ups but can support two different power sources, I guess I could make my own ups that takes in two different ac inputs but I wouldn't want to risk my mining rig because something was faulty wired and I cause that to like set my psu on fire. XD Thanks anyway.
