In fact, ICOs are also a great way to lose money quickly without the developer running away. I dare OP to pick the first ten ICOs listed in the Announcement sections. Check all of them. I bet the majority are trading today at prices lower than their ICOs. Yes, even with all the bonuses you could possibly get by being a first investor.

Next, I expect someone to say being a bounty hunter for ICOs is the surest way to make money. Seems so easy to be a millionaire these days, is it not?

Being a millionaire is completely upon the luck and the investment volume. There are successful ico which can grow much high in value, but very few get lucky to invest into those ico programs and get the best profit. Also while investing into ICO its good to invest when it is in the pre ico stage for bigger profiting.

I am happy that you have made upto 10x with your ICO investments. But I would like to stress here that most ICO's are scams and devs loose interest to build the product if they get too much money. While investing in ICO's, one should make sure that the hardcap should be there and considerate.

This time isn't the best time to invest an ICO if you don't know the core team behind the project personally. The risk is actually high when you're going to let go off your hard earned money into Crypto-Currency that has no guarantee that will give you good money in return.
For my personal view, I would rather invest in Bitcoin no matter how small my investment is or into top Altcoins like Ethereum, Ripple, Dash, LiteCoin and so on.

I agree and disagree here. There are two sides to a coin though. ICOs not nesseserly the best way to build your crypto-portfolio here.  Many of them won't even hit the exchanges. Biggest scumbags of 2017 were Swisscoin and Tezos. Firstly mentioned was too obvious with no whitepaper or any kind of information about the devs. Neverless they managed to attract more then $500k. Lastly mentioned was the most successful tokensale campaign in the history of ICOs failed due to a conflict between management. An intelligent investor can be a millionaire that's true.

That's why some rich people aren't impressed or trust Crypto-Currency because for them it's a bubble that will try to make magic to your money, either will multiply or vanish.
Crypto-Currency is although the future of monetary and economy but it's actually abused by some developers that were too greedy and they'll want just to be rich quick and doesn't care about their investors trust.
This time around being lucky is the wonderful season of your life but when you're going to decide to make money through any Crypto-Currency then you're wrong.

I think it still depends on how you approach your ICOs and how well you handle them? Its true that joining ICOs are beneficiary but only if the ICO becomes successful. Many ICO stop the development while there at the middle of their schedule and many of the investments fail.

Actually I feel like todays market is pretty bad for ICOs, many are failing to reach their goals and so few are hitting their hard cap. It is almost necessary that they hit their hard caps for them to be able to start trading at a price greater than ICO price.

I think it isn't about luck and if you're an experienced trader and know how to read and organization's move and motives then you'll probably getting most profit and luck is just a tag from people around you.
Being a Crypto enthusiast doesn't give you full guarantee that you're gonna get money as you like, veteran traders were even lost their money over and over again.
Just provide more time and effort to figure out which one is better Crypto or not, investigate and check core dev career backgrounds and their project itself will help you to decide whether you risk your investment or not.

Indeed, earlier this year 2017 feels like we're on fire having this opportunity of investing ICOs and seeing them for having a good potential and a good rival for Bitcoin but today feels like they're falling apart and most ICOs were failing to maintain their goals, road maps and timeline were become useless. Because most of the people were seeing Bitcoin is the only Crypto-Currency that will reach the moon and Altcoins stay on the ground.

I could not agree less with your point of view I have invested in 7 ICO since August up till now! 5 of the ICO i partook in gave me on the average for each ICO 500%! Some people are busy calling ICO scsm while some people are making the kind of profit that average person will only dream about!

It's a sad state for ICOs right now but it's all necessary I feel and part of a cycle, there are too many ICOs right now as people saw the success in the early parts of the year and thought they could replicate it, they then came with poor ideas and poorly managed ICOs and inevitably failed. Once we go back to having less ICOs but a better quality then ICOs can succeed again.

Yes it is. Invest in ICO project is a good way to earn but it's not for newbie without experience and knowlegde about it. There are a lot of ICO project and a lot of them are scam so it'll be very difficult to choose which one to invest if you don't have any experience or knowledge about it. sure thing ICOs can make you have a big profit as long you know that a risk you take. not all ICO going well after distribution some of them just dump when the token or coin distribute. But if you choose the right one that decision will bring you happiness

Investing in ICO's is also a very good way of losing your entire portfolio 

You need a lot of time, experience and luck to land only the "good" ICO's. Most people will lose their money in the long run chasing these crazy profits.

It is very financially rewarding to invest into ICOs as well,but it is not that simple. You need to have a keen eye for promising ICOs. Many of this initial coin offerings prove to be scam later after a lot of hype to get the funding, then the devs run away or something else happens. To avoid and to cover your risks as much as possible you should make a thorough analysis of both the leaders,devs,advisors and tech behind an ICO. Otherwise you could wake up in a morning with all your money gone..

It's a shame that only good ROI ICO are advertised. It's just a strategy to make people buy more ETH. They all think each ICO are worth it. We must show the other side and link all painful ROI for shitty ICO. That will be educate new investor, but not as much if they lose money...
