Blockchain.info is not added to Bitcoin.org because of security issues I believe but that aside, It's better then Coinbase because they actually give you control over the private keys. I'd still suggest going with something like Electrum for desktop or Mycelium for Android though.

Coinbase and Blochchain.info are both good online wallets that offers a good service to its users and they are safe to store your Bitcoins, for me, Blockchain does have more security features compare to Coinbase. The downside of Coinbase is that it takes transactions to be verified first sometimes. I once used Blockchain.info and it always changes your Bitcoin addresses automatically in each transaction that you made that Coinbase doesn't.

In coinbase, you can buy and sell anytime you wish to do it and you have other coins to choose for using them as a wallet but it's up to you if you will use them as your wallet and it is gaining recently 100,000 user per day it means they are good.
While in blockchain.info, they may don't have any statistics on how many users they are gaining everywhere still many do prefer to use it. As a web wallet, it has only 2 coins to use and you can't do immediate buy and sell orders there.
It's more of just a simple web wallet unlike coinbase as an exchange if you are covered within their service, you can withdraw your bitcoin>fiat direct to your bank account.

Both Coinbase and Blockchain is good as web wallets only. Though coinbase is more likely an exchange. I have used both of the services and never had any issue.
If you want a secure wallet than you should only use desktop wallets.
Both Coinbase and Blockchain provides 2fa security for their users, but still its not enough because both are web based.
But I will recommend Blockchain because you get control over private key in the form of backup phrase.

Coinbase = centralized web wallet which is only good for offchain transactions (coinbase account to coinbase). Users will never have control over their bitcoin. Blockchain.info = You will have quite good control over your bitcoin and it is not fully centralized web wallet.
Electrum like wallets give you full control over your bitcoin so I prefer to use electrum like SPV wallets rather than any web wallets.

For me both of them are good web wallet but I'm only using Coinbase to keep little amount of my BTC cause it's web wallet and I'm not being able to control my private key so I often use Electrum to keep almost of my BTC. Beside with Blockchain.info you can change the amount you will pay for the transaction fee but with Coinbase you can't do that.

Difference is very big. On coinbase you don't have control on private keys but you can exchange them easily + you can recover lost password very easily. On blockchain.info you can't exchange but they are working on it and maybe some countries are accepted. You have access on private keys but if you forgot those huge verification texts and etc, it will be almost impossible for you to recover password. And once I had problem on logining on my wallet, problem was from their side but another wallet works perfectly. Now you know what's difference, but better to use electrum, bitcoin core and similars.

But blockcahin provide private key so blockchaian is more safe than coinbase wallet. Also remembered,Coinbase is not a wallet,Its just a exchange platform.

Online wallets providing you with your private key doesn't automatically make them safer than those who don't. Those services who do provide you with your private keys just understands better that people at all time need to have the option to access their funds in case their service for whatever reason isn't accessible. Also, Coinbase has a multifunctional purpose, so it's definitely not just an exchange. People, and especially services quite often use it to exchange funds instantly and for free with others having an account there. All to avoid having to pay network fees. Coinbase isn't the only wallet service doing so, but by far the most popular option for people to go for, and that shows if we look at how much new users Coinbase gained this year.

Coinbase can be use if you want dollar quick and while in blockchain.info it's just a web wallet that you can keep your bitcoins. You do have some 2fa's too but you can't sell bitcoin nor buy there is there's a need. Coinbase do have some restricted countries while blockchain.info I guess.

Appreciate your reply towards the topic but its not really necessary for you to bump up an old topic. Answering topic, Coinbase= Centralized, you dont have the the possesion of your private keys, not totally a wallet yet its an exchange after all. Blockchain = Web wallet

With in the european and US taxation rules you need to agree for having the wallet mate. Then you need to make the transaction means also you cannot get the tx id of the transaction with the coinbase wallet and fees also you cannot able to define by own mate but for handy usage coinbase really nice one. Blockchain wallet is really good one for the people who is looking the online wallet which can use the private key and wallet identifier to access it. Best to have means you can go with the the desktop and hardware wallet.

Every user needs to agree to have wallet not matter if they are from The US or Europe (you don't make sense). As far as I remember you can see the TX ID for each transaction (I wonder if you ever used Coinbase before)

Can somebody outline the benefits and disadvantages for Coinbase and Blockchain? Thanks in advance. Stay Frosty, MDH. In the start when I joined the bitcoin community I heard a number of complaints about coinbase closing the accounts of their users and everyone suggested for to join blockchain for more security buy in the previous months when I heard from many people that their money escaped from their accounts I also consider it as non secure. In both of them looking at the situations to both of them I will suggest that if you will follow strictly the terms and conditions of coinbase then you may be more secure than in blockchain.

Nothing is seecure in online world even me do hear out and tend to use up coinbase when i just starting up in cryptomarket and i find out information about blockchain wallet but still i do end up on making or using up bitcoin core wallet on my own pc downloading might take some time but its worth it when it comes to security. The thing differences between coinbase and blockchain ,where coinbase is an exchange which is different from solely btc wallet of blockchain.

If you are using coinbase as the main side wallet and looking to keep safe in the sense, please understand that your wallet is not completely in your control alone. Can I have screen shot or website snip of the coinbase wallet with the tx id information in the time you are doing transaction. If you do the same on blockchain wallet instantly before confirmation has been done you can review the tx id of the transaction.
