Doge able survive until now so doge is strong altcoin but their total supply make dogecoin difficult to get uptrend ( small chance )
So I think it's not worth to keep invest on doge but for long term transaction, it's OK !

Doge has been idle for many months now and it's history shows us that after a long period of such idleness it increases more and more.
Although if we see it according to the history I won't recommend you to invest more in it if you have already bought some coins.
Since BTC's price is keeping on increasing day by day it is still risky as it can bleed the alts including Doge with it.

By now doge could have been doing well compared to were we have been.  Doge is one of the oldest coin that is very promising just that the developers just abandon it at the face when that was needed.  I was impressed hearing that dego make 40% gain and I hope it sustain this momentum as this coin can compete with those big coin with good technology like ethereum and litecoin.

Why do you want to buy Dogecoin? Does not the price of Dogecoin change much? And if it increases though, the price will not be much different. If you think you can invest and get a lot of profit from Dogecoin, you will not get it. But if you think you just want to use Dogecoin for a transaction, then you're fine. You will not get a lot of fees from Dogecoin unlike Bitcoin. But you also can not profit or loss from Dogecoin if you use it as a tool for transaction only. You'd better use another Altcoin to buy. Ethereum and Litecoin are as good as you say. Or you just buy Bitcoin and wait for a while and you'll get a lot of profit. But you have to wait for several years if you want to profit a lot.

And most of you people strangely do not understand the power of a community, and keep overlooking the fact that coins like Doge have one, while all those ICO projects only have shills and bounty hunters. You keep seeing the continuous news that there is no development or future but that is your problem for not seeing what the community itself does.

No need to knock a coin without basis, friend. Doge never asked for people's money or promised to do things, yet it has done more for crypto than SO many alts.

Can't believe DOGE is still alive. I used to think it was a prank coin especially with that abnoxious picture of a dog posted everywhere.
Anyway, i'd doubt the pump will last. There are so many other coins out there that have better technology and fundamentals.
