I wish anonymous would hack the DDOS idiots. Probably orchestrated by the new Chinese exchange that just opened up.
That would be my guess too. They been spamming realcoin and their exchange all over this forum.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Anonymous hacking? Lmao Anonymous uses DDOS ~90% of the time because they are very bad hackers as it is. If they take credit for something it doesn't mean that they did it . @Cryptsy down? You don't say..

Looks to be a DNS issue, pinging cryptsy.com resolves no IP address. So new queries won't be able to get to the site.

You don't say.. Hack is a very loosely used term to describe a quick circumvent. Among many other ideals. Don't get your panties in a wad with close minded attitude. Why else would someone call on Anonymous? To counter attack.

Luckily DGC will find itself on BTCE soon, so we can stop playing with this Mickey Mouse operation called cryptsy.com

don't think cryptsy ever went down, seems to be an issue with negative dns cache, throwing '199.83.131.5 cryptsy.com www.cryptsy.com' in my hosts file I am able to pull it up now (I'll just have to remember to remove it when it resolves correctly again)

Sold some altcoins, withdrew the BTC from Cryptsy to my Wallet. A few hours later, the site goes down, and my wallet doesn't show the withdrawal at all. not even 0 confirms?
This is extremely annoying now.

Wow! They are still down. Not down, your provider probably cached a negative entry, until that cache expires you'll need to find a way of resolving it correctly such as your hosts file

This time instead of trying to DDoS our servers, they were DDoSing our registrars DNS nameservers.
We are currently working to mitigate this.
