whats the best way to trade some btc for some litecoins

lookin to expand my portfolio , i havent been on any exchanges for about 2 years ,i dont know what the scene is like now and the litecoin forum have barely any action.  can anyone refer me to  a active litecoin forum  or someway to  get some ltc  with btc, cheers guys,gals.

trade btc for ltc on btc-e -- that's the highest volume exchange for less scammy altcoins where you can also exchange for USD/EUR

theres bter, cryptsy, btc-e....not sure what else. btc-e is best imo
