Not too sure about $1,000, that's a very high predication. Many analysts I spend time with are saying ~$600. Highest I've heard was $800, but even that seems high. Remember, we only got a month left before the year ends. The holidays also like to play on coins in sometimes a negative way.

You can only make these wild predictions in price with Bitcoins only and nothing else. The highest price you can hope for before the end of the year would be $600.

It won't go higher than that. It just got a small pump which makes sense after btc stopped climbing and as usual people jump back to altcoins once btc stops. Ether is a big guy in the altcoins market so I totally expected that it was gonna go up. And it makes sense for it to go up.

When bitcoin stops going up, people still wanna make money. Some go for BCH but a large portion of the community is totally against it so they start digging into ether and others. So basically the large demand in btc was driven into BCH,Ether, and a smaller portion to all the other altcoins.

Nope, because even the current price for it is way overvalued if you ask me. It went to .14 BTC because the price was just near 1-1.5k which means it never did more than 300 bucks after which this is the ATH it witnessed, but 1k USD for ethereum? Came in a party or what? /sarcasm

The max it could do is .06 and may get retraced back to .042, nothing expected much from this. Not against ethereum, but I think such coins need to come out of "centralization" part to be able to reach those highs.

I also think that such an ATH is unrealistic short term.

It looks like you may be right about that assumption. The price is going over $400 and there is a lot of volume being built up by the common traders.

possibly, this is going to happen as it seemed this current upward movement is not over yet. I just checked on https://coinsmarketcap.com and ethereum price is currently  $422 I think it might get to $500 before tomorrow and by this time next week we may be heading to $1000. This is a sign that the best time to buy any coins is when it seen to be dump and the best time to sell them is when it is up or getting pump.

Ahhh it's a good week for ETH.

Ethereum has a very good likelihood of approaching 1000 USD. It might not come by the end of this year, but I'd guess within the next year. The progress it is achieving and all the development behind it are quite astounding, and has partnerships that are equally impressive.

People say ETH cannot double its value in a month (400 -> 800), meanwhile BCH spiked (600 -> 2400) in a few days. We'll see what happens I hope for 0.1 BTC at the end of the year.

I don't think that will happen, it's much too far for eth to go in a short period, if it reaches and remains above 500 usd I will be very surprised! I will be content if it remains above 400 usd for the rest of 2017.

Yeah this was incredible, i just bought two ethereums yesterday's night when the price was $383 each ethereum, it was a good deal because i earned more than 35 easy bucks from this pump.
It is not a big amount of money, but i am satisfied with this anyway, because i haven't did anything in order to earn that.
But how much is it going to be worth in a few months from now? ethereum is going up like crazy, and a lot of people are trying to make ethereum go up.

It made more than x12 since this year started, it is incredible.

Yes, It might be. Etherium is in second place after Bitcoin. Etherium is worth $420  today  and it may be $800
in the next month. Later it could  be surpass $1000.

Ethereum was very revolutionary in comparison with bitcoin and I think it was obvious it will rise a lot. And it did! Later there began to appear problems with coins. Bitcoin had this block size thing. The transactions still proceed rather long and they are very expensive (I once got 7$ as a regular fee to send about 170 dollars). Eth has another problem: security. As it is a very flexible platform offering many opportunities to users, there are.. holes in the code and so a lot of people lose thir money held in eth. I think that this will not allow eth to grow up to $1k until the problems are solved.

You're right about coins struggling as they grow, it is the same for both BTC and ETH, BTC has to reduce its fees due to scalability issues and ETH has to improve security. Both really need to occur for the next 2x+ growth for each of them IMO.
