Bitcoin is really like heroin,especially when you start earn big you can't afford not to keep on mining it.You feel like you were addicted and keep coming back to it. Yet it has a very big differe ce to effects since in heroin you will get bad then act bad while in bitcoin it has good effects because we are earning big. Bigger than what we get from a regular job if we have one. People would definitely choose to be addicted with bitcoin rather than with heroin because we are earning at the same time we learn a lot of things. It is considered a blessing to everyone who has been using it for years. This helped the economy so much especially the unemployment. So why would rather be addictes with heroin if we are not earning? We must choose the right one which is being active to bitcoin.

Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.

It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.

In the end it ends bad.

This is a lousy statement, you cannot compare it with heroine. Bitcoin is a new technology and because of the increasing price you could use it as an investment. The profits one can make with it are very exciting, so in a way you can get a kick of it. But the flash you get from a shot of heroine will not last that long and in the end you'll be poor. While Bitcoin can take you skyhigh and make you rich.

I could say that it’s like heroin (even if I never take heroin so i don’t  know what it is like, I only guess   ). When the coin increased I had a feeling of euphoria (a little). But when the coin falls, pffff  I felt angry with myself. At first, I looked at all the time the graph. And when I wanted to buy every minute.
The evening, before going to bed, I watched again the token price and of course I had trouble sleeping. I've turned the page. Now, i watch coinmarketcap once every 3 days or week. Mylifecom

i agree with you that bitcoin is like heroin but in a positive way. people are addicted to it because of the zeal to make wealth and watch their wealth grow. casino games are just a means some people believe in making their wealth. most bitcoin investors just buy and hold or buy and sell at a higher price.

We can call it like heroin because when a person start to earn and like this domain too much, He will be addicted to it like me, Everyday i check news about bitcoin, since 1-2 years, I didn't think that i forget to check news about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general for 1 day, I really like so much bitcoin, and i know it will be more powerfull in the future, so i trust on it, and i will invest more and more.

It's growing too fast and people are becoming delusional. You can see what stage we're at when you read people's posts. They begin with calm waiting  that turns into happiness and anticipation of further growth, then it turns into first suspicion and reserve, but when it keeps growing that suspicion starts to slowly turn into insane delusion. People start posting their dream houses, talking about Bitcoin islands and comparing Bitcoin to drugs, like our OP. We are getting closer to the point where this delusion starts to turn into panic, disappointment and resentment.

You are absolutely right. I'm a bitcoin addict. And getting off this needle becomes more difficult. Every day I wake up with one thought - what bitcoin course is waiting for me today.
