Leave your feedback of Trust to Richie (one of the founders of Bittrex):

Link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=96390

You can fill in how much risk BTC and written feedback, his account is already in red with negative feedback.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Now so much scams on market among ICO projects. I think that audit reports can help with it. Because investors can see full information about costs of the project and will be calm. What do you think?

How is it related to the subject of the topic you write in?

I think that this is just a good idea, which at least someone had to say. The audit of ICO projects is really important, otherwise the scam will only be more with each month. Smiley

It is really funny. They all start so well, people tend to praise them and all of a sudden they just go bazooka on people's funds.

they do this because they know that no one will report them to the police, since these exchange do not have physical desks and we do not know the names and addresses of the owners of the exchange is very difficult to report to the police

With the lack of support and the issue people are having with them presently with closed accounts, it is just more like daylight robbery and even the verified users should be scared. I am scared! Grin

nobody knows how many workers these exchanges have and because of that, it is difficult to know the reasons for the delays in the answers of support tickets. many exchanges show lack of professionalism and lack of respect

Well, even with many difficulties, you (the victims) must hire a lawyer and report your case to the police

Once upon a time, MtGox was a BIG exchange and messed up by doing a small mistake: putting all user deposits in the company's hot wallet which leaked and leaked up to a bankruptcy point ....

As a consequence by revealing the fact that bitcoin is vulnerable in its borders(exchanges), its price fallen down to the earth from the sky and remained  there for almost 2 years! Japanese authorities came to the scene and did their job as expected ...

it was an earthquake, initiated by a mistake not even an intentional fraud plot and yet ...

Now we have Bittrex, currently, one of the largest exchanges in the world and it is not about a technical mistake but a deliberate, sophisticated series of fraud and scamming people by the site owner(s),  thousands of users have been affected and millions of dollars have been gone into the packets of the thieves who are not responsive at all and has sufficed to make a very short misleading statement of no help, saying :"it is about 0.1% of the users" and doesn't say anything rational about why and how they have blocked users access to their funds.

Meanwhile their agents informally make false claims about a mysterious pressure by unknown authorities from unknown countries which is threatening the whole firm and its users and they have sacrificed those 0.1% to make their majesty happy and save the majority! Their support is totally dead, they have targeted the most weakest portion of the users, Iranians (like me) , users from Middle East, Eastern Europe, ... or users with very huge (for an exchange user) deposits.

The scam scenario:

1- In October 12 (or so) Bittrex changed its withdrawal policy, overnight, without any prior warning. As a result users with 'basic verification level' (verified minimally by e-mail) was no longer able to withdraw any funds. These users were able to withdraw up to 1 btc/day prior to the scam.

2- At the same time Bittrex invented a new term 'disabled account' and put thousands of the users on this state. This trick was applied to the users who couldn't be scammed by the first trick because they have passed the more advanced verification step, (they have been chosen deliberately for the scam based on nationality, deposit level, .. ).

3- Plus, Bittrex invented a new rule for a 'disabled account': you can't close it (claiming your deposit) before withdrawing all of your deposit and you can't do that either because it is 'disabled'.

4-Bittrex robotic support, asks the victims to supply a foolish selfie, which of course has no effect on the situation, support is dead, forever.

Now, 45 days is passed and thousands of users have lost millions of dollars, no support, no apologies, nothing!

I started this topic not only to keep pressure on the Bittrex and warn users but also for a more important purpose: to ask WHY?

Why the community remains silent?

Why the authorities do nothing?

Why bittrex is up and running?

What has changed so bad that a scandal like this does not stop btc price to go higher?

Isn't it about we, bitcoiners, preferring to remain in the denial phase and afraid of seeing the ugly face of our market which is full of, (actually overloaded by) scammers and opportunists who do not care about anything or anyone other than their fat ass?

Aren't we, most of us, a light version of such an opportunist, fat, greedy asswhole, who just have come to this market to harvest easy money and do not see anything beyond our nose?

Isn't it what makes us indifferent to the Bittrex scam?

When are we really going to stop seeing issues like this with exchanges? It is becoming alarming and until we start having decentralized exchanges before we can really be conveniently trading on any exchange. It is normal that once an exchange is receiving some hype as the best, they tend to just do something silly and not right.

How will you just confiscate user's asset without prior warning. Things are not done that way. I am not affected and even though I am an enhanced user, but something like this means it could have happened to just about anyone. This is just crazy.

I really hope Bittrex have some explanation on this.

well, currently poloneix, coinexchange is still the most trusted exchange site for me.
I really hope they do. The last explanation they had was it only affected very few of the users. However, looking at the funds that these few may have, it is an absurd thing to do. We are talking about people's assets here which they entrusted in your hands and then you locked them out from accessing it without giving any notice. What is the use of correspondence via emails then, to let the users know of a possible lock of account if they do not verify or probably just withdraw their funds?

This is a real case happened with my friend on bittrex,
He's got hacked 10k USD, withdrew in BTC to another account. He cried it to the support team and guess what??? They replied with a sorry email including an activity report of his account.
SO BE CAREFUL GUYS...
And that`s why I think that audit report is most important part of the any project!

Bittrex is a ponzi scheme.  They are long gone.  The site is on automatic.  What they are doing is very illegal.  It may not have completely collapsed yet, as some people can still withdraw, and that is their plausible deniability, for now, but make no mistake.  They do not have your funds and they are not planning to give you your coins back, ever.  They have stolen your crypto tokens.  It has nothing to do with regulations.  They are scammers.  Period. The best we can do is launch a lawsuit and hope to settle for a fraction of what is owed to us.  Stop defending these criminals.

Not a ponzi scheme, they might have tried to scam people and now they got scared. I personally think they are just incompetent and fucking lazy. They can't even write a statement about the whole situation. You will eventually get verified most of the times although you can get your account banned/disabled. The should still be punished and no one should use the exchange anymore but people don't care.

those regulations they are talking about do exists but they only go into effect in may 2018 , so bittrex did not need to lock out unverified legacy accounts or anyone else yet they being assholes in forcing people to get verified now. thats why poloniex gave a warning  to legacy accounts thats regulation is coming so we can get our coins. so imo its a real possibility that bittrex is getting ready to scam everybody , bittrex even edited old msgs to suit thers current needs thats scammy.

well, they finally answered my ticket and told me to retry verification.  it failed instantly then i got the "tried too many times" message after the first try.  when i contact support they told me to get another ID.  this is a bullshit scam as there is nothing wrong with my ID.  stay away from bittrex as they are crooks and looking to steal money.  they will take your deposit, but no withdrawl-

Don't use bittrex.

I made a deposit of aprox 10K USD in crypto and because of their technical problems the deposit didn't get credited as usual.

Now they tell me that they have to manually check it and that it could take a month or more and this if it finally gets credited, maybe I "lose" my coins, they don't assure me that it will be credited even having blockchain tx id proof.WTF

This is unacceptable, avoid this exchange at all costs.

Forget Bittrex immediatelly! Scam, fraud, liars, thieves!
They put offline Bitcoin Gold wallet more than 2 weeks ago, because there was some issue with the wallet, causing tons of coins inaccessible. And they have no willingness to solve the issue somehow, they are just simply closing the support tickets. They are lying that they are waiting the for the solution from the developers. However, other exhanges fixed the issue in days. Meanwhile, their BTG/BTC exchange is still running, just for price manipulation purposes.
