They are not disappointed because of Elon but they're disappointed because with most of the memes that have gone up, Dogecoin didn't moved a lot.
It's always about the price why someone is disappointed and don't point it out to Elon, he's just a hypeman of this memecoin and that's why many have invested on it.

Every meme enjoyed the increase when bitcoin was able to exceed its ATH, even though compared to doge, the other memes rose very significantly and, of course, it was a surprise because doge was unable to make it even just to 24 cents, let alone hope to repeat their ATH.

Im guessing the integration of doge coin as a payment method that elon musk is trying to introduce even though awesome enough its not gonna pump the price that high though idk i just got that feeling that elon musk isn't as influential as he was before and right now his good gesture of integrating doge coin into his platform might means a little.
i'm more excited to wait for the halving at this point where bitcoin gonna pump and then doge coin gonna follow since i have my share of doge coin as well that im holding so i'm quite optimistic with doge coin.
but when bullrun we gonna see doge coin price climbing and history speaks that doge coin climb when bullrun happened and when bitcoin reaching all time high.
but what im worried though that doge coin might get overshadowed by new emerging meme coin, since doge coin market cap is already high im assumming the increase of price won't be meaningful since it requires massive money to just pump doge coin.

7 years ago you call this coin a long dead crypto(memecoin to be specific) but look at it now and still working to breaking its ATH .
there are lots of Memecoin that is created in terms of networks and now Solana network is popular but lets not forget Dogecoin to be the first memecoin and had also some copycats like Shiba Inu.

I still remember those days that there are many old timer here in bitcointalk that calling all altcoins as shitcoin this does not include even Ethereum that it was being called shitcoin but now as the years passes by and those coins have proven their worth?its rarely that i am reading now about dogecoin or other altcoins to be literal shitcoin , though there are still shitcoins that is still being created and many are in existence .

We don't happens to see the coin that may go into extinction or went bankrupt just from our physical views, we need to engage on more research and findings about the project and then ensure the follow up as well on the news and development activities concerning the coin project in other to have an idea on whether it will last or not, though this same Doge is not one of such that should be looked upon under this perspective because its a well performing and promising coin base on what we still have till today.

If we are talking about meme coins, people must remember about Dogecoin. Dogecoin is still number 1 meme coins. With this fact, it is very unlikely to see the dead of Dogecoin. Moreover, Dogecoin is supported by many big whales and Elon Musk. This coin will always have a big market cap, those big investors won't lose their money in this coin. As long as meme coins exist, I believe Dogecoin will remain the first meme coin and will last a long time.

Even Bitcoin fall so for Dogecoin to fall will not be a first thing to discuss. In the nature of cryptocurrency falling and rising is part is d parcel of the cryptocurrency market. Dogecoin now is doing well but there will be a time that the coin will fall and anyone who is interested to buy will buy it at that time and hodle it to the next rising market again and that is the interesting part of cryptocurrency investment. Holding dogecoin is quite interesting since this coin have a backup and with such influence the coin will definitely rise. Using dogecoin as a payment method is just a way to build the coin, definitely the dogecoin will be so popular if used as a payment method on X and Tesla.
