Would be interesting to see wallet holding statistics to see distribution of btc. Does something like that exist?

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

But that's by address, not wallet, and it isn't very useful because a wallet can have a lot of coins total without any individual address having very many.

Thanks - that's probably the closest thing I've seen that shows what I was interested in seeing.  I know anyway you approach statistics with these things may be skewed one way or another.  It will be interesting to see various trends as time goes by.  Thanks!

Yes - I was familiar with this but was curious if anyone had pulled data from there to do more comprehensive analysis.
