I really don't know what is the real reason behind the price increase of Bitcoin but the $10,000 mark before the year ends is not impossible if this trend in the market will still continue.

One thing is for sure now, Bitcoin's potential is growing and many new people are getting into it, some of the well known Altcoins too are on a positive growth. Despite of the bad issues that is thrown to Bitcoin within the last few months it's just like what doesn't kill you make you stronger.

i think there is no need to surprise because we are already expecting that te price of bitcoin will even cross 10000$ at the end of 2017, and still we have 1 more month left, while we already cross 8600$ and we are very close to 10000. I am sure that we will cross 10000$ before ending 2017$. Therefore i think there is no need to surprise for the current increasing price of bitcoin.

At this moment the price of the bitcoin is already 8600 dollars and i think it will increase more and possible to see th eprice of 9k dollars this week. 10k dollars before end of this year 2017 is very possible to happen so be ready. Definitely there's a possibility that we reach that amount, because behavior of bitcoin now in the crypto market was unpredictable. So I think it's better if we go with the flow, otherwise as per observation to the fluctuation of bit value in the market. I was amazed because it was rapidly increasing, also when time past bitcoiner were quickly increasing too. I was not doubt if one day all people using bitcoin as their currency.

I'm not that excited about increases anymore since they are on the smaller side in terms of percentages of growth. I however look greatly forward to the closer coming 5 figure levels.

It's almost unreal if we look back at how we entered this year. If anyone would have told me that we would likely reach the $10,000 mark this year, I would have told him to stop dreaming about something that's not realistic.

I am hodling my coins firmly and will not cash out profits any time soon. I rather keep enjoying the ride up with all my coins sitting safely in offline cold storage. Why sell at current levels when I can do so later at +$50,000?

I think this will come to very possible price ever in history and this has been predicted already. Now we really experienced it and everybody is getting excited everyday. Some think that price is so expensive but still has positive visions.

Yes, we are heading to 9000-10000 USD around end of Dec. Now I'm expecting a little drop to 8300 USD again and then to pass the 9000 USD line. I just trade 20% of my holding to ETH for the experiment of back-trade in the bottom of the correction.

We are in the parabolic stage of this uptrend. One might even say that we are in "blow off top" territory, but even so, we can still go significantly higher before this ends with a very significant bearish correction.

As such, I expect the speed of the rally to continue increasing. At this stage in a trend, I'd also expect volatility in both directions to be increasing, meaning that we can expect the bear traps to be increasingly fast and brutal. The lows at $5400 and the subsequent bounce are characteristic of what I mean.

I guess what I'm saying is, the difference between $9000 and $10,000 is now very small. Bitcoin can do that in a day now.

Just keep on the radar that for many is fashionable, and they do not see it with an alternative investment approach. The moment this "fashion" makes them lose by a price adjustment many will sell.  Meanwhile I believe that the price of 9000 and maybe 10000 will arrive sooner than expected.

FWIW the hkd market has been significantly higher than usd the past week. Last peak I sold off some at up to hkd76,000 , around usd9700, expected a big correction which turned out much smaller than expected. A few times in the past the HKD market has preempted large but more gradual USD gains with sharp increases. I’d be interested in any views as to why this happens. In the hkd market we’re now sitting at around usd9500 but with very low volume
