Many are interested in how many bitcoins in the world at the moment. The approximate number of them is a little over 16 million (as of November 2017). The system provides for the creation of a new bitcoin by means of the fact that you are using your computer for computational operations and processing transaction data - mining. But "print", therefore, a lot of the new currency does not work out - the system has a limit on the number of generated bitcoins per day (3600 BTC).

I'm not sure how many bitcoin are there but I think that it will range in million because bitcoin is operating in many countries so that it will known by many people. And I think also that it may get high more as time goes by because now it is famous crypto or a job.

Something not bad to know is that there are from 17% to 23% of bitcoins that are gone for good according to chainanalys. It's about 2.7 to 4 millions bitcoins. http://fortune.com/2017/11/25/lost-bitcoins/

It's a so huge number if you think about it would mean that once all the bitcoins are mined we will have about 6 million bitcoins lost forever. So if finally, we have fewer bitcoins circulating the value will go above the roof?

Since nobody has mentioned it, the total number of bitcoins will be 21 million, but as other have already stated a large portion are suspected to be permanently lost and irrecoverable.

But in fact there are less number, because we need to take account of dead bitcoin wallets/Satoshi's btc and etc that do not circulate in the system

total number of bitcoin less than 16 Million,

1) Most users only buy bitcoin and hold it.
2) many users collect many bitcoins and lost them wallet/password.
3) died users (no one can get them BTC).

all this make  daily trading less than 1 Million (550$ BTC)

you can say total number now is 10 million

I'm not necessarily sure Because no one mentions his number, the total amount of bitcoin I know is 21 million, but as already stated otherwise, most allegedly disappeared permanently and can not be recovered. That's why I'm still unsure how many bitcoins which exists

Not enough to meet the demand! I think in a few years time it actually stops altogether!

You are paranoid I think, bitcoin has continuously making itself to be used foe the people who demand for it, as the process continue the demand meet the more profit comes, we cannot say the exact cause the production moves.

rough speaking, the mining in the form to which we are all used, will end when the last 21 000 000th coin is issued. that's emission limit. it seted by the program code that is embedded in the crypto currency. according to experts, this will happen somewhere in the middle of the next century, to be more precise, then in 2140.

the mining of bitcoin will continue to live for a long time, at least until 2140. experts' forecasts, concerning the value of the crypto currency, suggest that the probability of a sharp fall in the price of a coin is quite low. in the worst case, it will be several thousand dollars and will cease to grow.

Don't judge the market by thinking about the total numer of bicoins. Most of tyem are out of the circulation as a result of lost coins. The actually circulating supply is much lower than shown in coinmarketcap website.

It is not counting and can not meet the needs of today's bitcoin players, bitcoin is growing very fast in the market it's about $ 9300
The number of bitcoins per day increases rapidly to around 4000btc, and it is estimated that there are currently around 17 million bitcoins in the world. Huh Huh Huh

In the other thread, it says an estimation of 4 million of bitcoin are lost, so that makes it 12 million in circulation.

That 4 million is still an estimation because calculating them all is not really easy, But the lesser the supply the higher the demands go right? So I think it is going pretty well.

Bit coin was predicted to be 21million overall. But a limited amount of bit coin is in circulation.
Within a few years, the bit coin circulation will decrease significantly. After 100 years, all the bit coins are expected to come in circulation.

I do not understand why the remaining 11 million will be extracted so long, if for 9 years we have already extracted 10 million Huh

That is because the block reward halves every 4 years which is by design. When Bitcoin mining first began with Satoshi on his PC, the blocks reward was 50 BTC which lasted for the first 4 years of its existence. Many of the earliest blocks could be solo mines on your PC direct to your wallet, that is why some of the every early adopters had large amounts of BTC.

At the 4 year mark the btc reward was reduced to 25 BTC per block, and the most recent reduction was down to 12.5 BTC per block. The next halving in about 3 years time will further reduce this to 6.75 BTC per block and so on until it eventually reaches 0. As was pointed out above, this is expected to happen sometime next century.
