ethereum gas problem .. i need help

i am trying to send my ethreum tokens from myetherwallet to other adderss but it is showing transaction error .
error is "out of gas"
i dont hav ethereum in my ethreum wallet . i just hav ethreum tokens such as "mcaps" and "eos" in my wallet.
is it mendatory to hav ethreum ??
without ethreum cant i proceed any tansaction? if no , then how can i sell my ethereum tokens to get ethereum so that i can process transaction

To transfer tokens, you will need higher gas than the usual sending ETH. Need fee to send any either ETH or tokens, you understand this, right?

You need some ETH as a fee  to send your tokens, you can easily and quickly buy ETH for fiat on https://localethereum.com Fee amount for every transaction you can set by changing gas price. Currently transactions with even 0.1 Gwei gas price pass in few minutes.

You need to have eth in your myetherwallet to cover fee,last time i ve been paying about 0.01 eth for transaction not much expensive

Not only to invest in ICO, ETH (very small quantity) is needed to be included in fees when you want to transfer coins you have received after investing in those ETH based tokens.

No you can't so even if you have received those tokens for free you will still need to spend some ETH in fees to be able to sell them or move them.

Although Etherdelta is a centralized Cryptocurrency exchange, it will require gas fee for the developer's salary also.
