It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

How did "pikachujdc" know this was going to take place beforehand???

When I saw gladoscc make the first 500 BTC bet, I figured it was a one off, but then he came back and seemed to not be himself.  His spelling and punctuation was off, and I figured he was probably a hacker who had taken over gladoscc's account.  So I froze the funds and investigated.

He was able to PM me on the forums, sign a message with his GPG key, and another message with his vanity Bitcoin address.  So I unfroze the funds and he continued betting big.

While the funds were frozen he was still able to chat in the Just-Dice chatroom, and that's where pikachu heard about the record-breaking bet he was planning to make.

Hope that clears it up, and sorry for getting it wrong, gladoscc.  I'd just hate for you to lose 500 BTC to a hacker.

As the owner of Just-Dice, is it my responsibility to investigate like this?  Do I even have the right to freeze player funds when I suspect their accounts have been compromised?  I don't know...  If he'd had google-authentication 2-factor protection turned on, it wouldn't have been an issue.

Haha oh my God $50k on a dice game. They must be a seriously rich person, doubt anyone other than a millionaire/billionaire would do this.
