Somewhere where you will have an access to the hydro electricity, that's the key. You will need to accurately think over all aspects of the thing - where and what to buy, and then, how to transport it to the place of usage. Also, I'm wondering if there are any law restrictions?

Hello
I am going to travel to China and I am evaluating the possibility of buying equipment and installing a mining farm there with a partner from that country. One of the things that favors my decision is how cheap energy is in China, especially hydroelectric. I wanted to know what recommendation you have about which place is best to install a mining farm there.

 Thanks
I was amazed that a certain person did able to decide to live up on other country and leave his country home for the sake of mining. Price electricity on that country is really cheap which turns mining would really be a profitable things and regarding with your concern you would really need to approach a certain person who lives on there.Either on of your relatives or closest friends but if you dont have such thing then it would be hard to go on there without much knowledge on the place.

We have 3 cents CAD (2.4 cents USD) here in Manitoba (Canada) as a corporate rate once you hit a certain power consumption level. Good people as well, large building we're conducting dielectric fluid test as well. In the fluid you can expect 15% more that's reduced load and over clocking together.

Hey I am from Hong Kong and had been doing business in China for many years.
As far as I know that China government have not banned mining activities yet, they just banned the bitcoin trading and some of the shitcoin trading activities, as many financial companies in china used Bitcoin to conduct illegal and do fund raising.
Electricity price in different province is  different, the price is expensive in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou those 1-tier cities, but it is cheap in 3-tier cities in northern part of China as the temperature is much lower. The environment of the 3-tier cities are much better now and I think you can think about doing the mining farm there. You can now reach those 3rd-tier cities in 1 hours by high-speed train.
Let's have more discuss on it (PM me). I am looking for opportunity to build a mining farm in China as well.

In the footsteps of the leading companies... It's interesting, I believe that you're going to make a right move forward. Btw, someone posted about Japan, and I definitely wouldn't recommend you to try this variant, as they have really high prices both of rental and electricity.
Russia also seems good, though.

Chinese energy isn't that cheap, you can get it cheaper in other countries. Iceland got very cheap thermopower and a cool climate as a bonus. Also if you don't speak Chinese and don't have any personal connections more than your friend id choose a different country if I were you. What country are you from?

Dear members.
I'm from Russia and we got the government making the law for mining and ICO in june 2018 for legalization and taxes.
And the price for electricity in Moscow region you can find 2-3 rubles it's 3,5-5,1 cents USD.
If you go deep in country there are prices 1 ruble for kWt - it's 1,7 cents!!!
And nowadays many big corporations in my country with factories and stocks, with a lot of electricity are rebuilding them in mining parks.
So for our economics I see it's a very good view in future because a lot of investors are coming here who wants the efficient and legal mining.

Russia is really ripe for putting up a mining farm because the place is cold like China and electricity is very cheap as well. But the problem with Russia is that they are not friendly to bitcoin. It's already evident by the "contradicting" statement they are releasing. So if I where you I will not look at Russia as another option. To many politics also, and how do you know that they are legalizing mining and ICO in Russia? care to share you source?

As for China, Yes, its the best option for you. Bitcoin mining farm is thriving in Chinese provinces and we haven't heard that they are snapping on bitcoin mining farm, not yet. So you still have the time to established one in there.

Canada is a another option as what members says, Manitoba has a good weather that is ripe of doing mining. And if you are a US citizens, no language barrier. If you are going to deal with the Chinese, maybe a few will be lost in translation.  I advise you keep your options open dude and not just look for China.

What is the average temperature for these different cities? One of the biggest expenses, that adds a lot of cost is cooling. One

city might have cheap electricity, but the average temperature might be much higher than the other city in the colder region.

You should factor in the location based on the extra cooling requirements that you would have. {not just the hardware}  Wink

Hey,

have you considered to go another way?
You should definitely take a look at envion.org.
Very sophisticated and mature project with real professionals.

The offered solution were showcased in Berlin infront of investors, where a close relative attended this meetup.
This is a real project, with real people.

It takes your idea to an "easier" level and the execution might be much better than you can do by yourself.

They are not yet an established system or project.
the profit these miners are making are comparatively higher than the 160% they promising.

Hello,
I currently run a small bitcoin mining farm in Mongolia and I'm looking to expand. Where we are located we can get cheap power at .03¢ kWh and I am looking to expand the mine, wondering if there is anyone interested in investing into our operation to cooperate and take advantage of the cheap power where I live. The winter here is very cold (-30ºC) so this saves operating cost also.
If anyone is interested you can email me at sam@csd.international
Thanks.

Good idea as I had China has the cheapest electricity and the mining tools can easily gotten there. Hope you also study their laws on cryptocurrency to find out if it doesn't affect mining. Hong Kong is one of the good city you can used as the highest mining and cryptocurrencies activities is taking place there.

That's good. At least they don't overpromise something. I get what you want to tell me.
They will be definitely an established system. Let's be honest. Becoming a mining company isn't that difficult. The USP is getting into touch directly with power plants and energy producer/supplier.
