it is good but not that great because difficulty has caught up
if you get 30mh on eth you have gtx 1070 or amd 5xx or 4xx series
gtx 1070 will get 450 sol and and 5xx or 4xx will get around 250 sol

You have to specify that RX 5xx or 4xx will get you about 280 sol/s when they are 4GB cards and that when they are 8GB cards they give you 310 sol/s without overclocking and bios mod, with a bit of overclocking they can give you up to 346 sol/s the 8 GB version. Still they are better used on Ethhash and work better now with latest Claymore Dual Miner. Actually both even Nvidia 1070 is great for dual mining as this is the new trend in altcoin mining now.

It's not all that great. Many rushed to mine BTG as soon as it launched. There had been many ranched mining rigs waiting for something like this and the hashrate that rushed into it was too much. Luck for 1 KSol/s is currently around 300 days. That's how much it'd take for a miner with that hashrate to mine a block. Do the math and it doesn't seem very profitable compared to other alternatives. Perhaps many mining it are counting on a price increase.

Weird whattomine.com showing BTG on top now. But reading some threads here looks like there are lots of crappy pools.
Anyone with solid figures on BTG mining able to confirm what the daily yield is like and on what hardware.

Other mining profitability sites have had Bitcoin gold on them for a about a week now. https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/
crypto-coinz.net is normally a little more up to date with newer coins but you do need to put in your own hashrate and power consumption.

My 2 rigs with 12 x GTX1060 are mining in suprnova (it fluctuates but I think average hashrate is about 3100sol/s), daily yield is about 0.055-0.07 BTG, I mined exactly 14 days, so earned 0.88 BTG.

Huh think bitcoin gold profitability depends on the power consumption that you use, the wear and tear of your hardware and the number of transactions that you make in mining.

easy to calculate:

https://whattomine.com/coins/214-btg-equihash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=290&p=70&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

this is calculation for 1 gtx 1060 3gb doing 290 sol and what to mine is precise 95% in nova pool i am mining by 5 days and the extimate earning is very precise.

post your video card model and we could help you more

Nivida 1070 and higer get more profit mining zcash and equhash than mining etherum even dual mining
although with the spike i. dcr price im not so sure.

I have all my 1070 and 1080 tis pointed to btg and im making around .45 btg a day
I think the price right now is low for its scarcity

just lastvweek it was trading at $120 ish now its near 400 i expect a spike at some point
to 800 or so if all other alts keep rising with btc

so mine and hold i think is the strat on this one

Mine and hold is the key.  This one should have just as much upside as BCC, so getting in early and not bailing sounds like the strategy.
